Mar 19, 2015 I don't think the Kettleman's were desperate. The money they've stealing, I'm assuming, was stolen over a period of time and eventually it caused a huge discrepancy. Craig Kettleman is a county treasurer. Look at their house and what they were able to establish before their criminal investigation and case. It might not be a HUGE case to HHM, but it's definitely a big one. And most importantly, the Kettleman's went to Jimmy first before choosing HHM. Jimmy has been trying to get HHM to cash out his brother's share of the company, as they're making money off of his name and he isn't even capable of working there. The rivalry is personal AND economical. Remember HHM didn't want Jimmy to use the McGill name? Then Jimmy even went as far as mimicking Hamlin's signature look and the company slogan, then flipped that into an even bigger promo with his faux pas-billboard-rescue story. I don't think they care about the Kettleman's case. It has to do with greed and coming out on top. At least that's what I'm getting. edit: Also, I think Hamlin punishing Kim by moving her out of her office was due to the fact that they "won" the case from Jimmy, only to have the Kettleman's fire HHM and go back to Jimmy. Hamlin knows Jimmy and Kim are still friends and keep in touch. Jimmy getting the case back put Kim's job in risk. He had no choice but to convince the Kettleman's to go back to HHM.
Mar 21, 2015 They definitely should have made it more than 1.6 million for all that went down lol This shows real entertaining but i wish there were some bigger/better storylines to close out the season. The s--- with his batshit brother is just weird to me. Excited for Mike's stuff though, we gonna be seeing some Gus Fring???????? Mrs. Kettleman reminds me of Lydia, but not cute
Mar 21, 2015 @M.I.C. I dunno, I kind of enjoy the lack of urgency in the storyline tbh. I think the characters are strong enough to support the show without any significant plot lines. They've given themselves a 6 year time frame to work with (the end of the 6 years being where BrBa starts) and seem to be focusing on devoting that time to character development rather than an urgent, tightly knit plot like Breaking Bad (which covered a duration of 2 and a half-ish years over 6 seasons).
Mar 21, 2015 as i've said, these first few seasons might feel like they're wavering, or without purpose, but i feel like that's gonna be a PERFECT foil to when it gets into the breaking bad territory. jimmy's life went from being lost in translation to a f---ing shot of adrenaline. maybe not as abruptly as walt's...but when you look at the monotony of his elder law cases and s---, and compare it to where he's heading, the contrast starts to make sense
Mar 23, 2015 Slow episode. Obviously with two left and Mike getting into the grimey work we might see Gus the last episode or something f----- up Breaking Bad related
Mar 24, 2015 When Jimmy climbs out of the dumpster and the camera pans over to the recycling bin>>>> Funny stuff man funny stuff
Mar 24, 2015 dw lads i got it am about to watch it now and eat some ham cheese croissants, i wonder what the poor people are doing
Mar 24, 2015 I like how "small" the show feels right now. The BB/BCS universe has barely been explored. It's like we're playing a video game we've only unlocked 4% of the map. Interested to see the "work" Mike gets into. Gus? Will we see Victor again? Hope they don't dwell on the Jimmy/Kim love story. I don't care. Saul transformation is coming. How will the timeline change? When will we see episodes set in BB era? (2008ish) Who will we see? CAN'T f---ing WAIT TO SEE IT PICK UP IN THE FUTURE (Cinnabon Saul)
Mar 24, 2015 I'm feeling Chuck's use of his code to print all of the documents is going to come back and bite them in the a--- later
Mar 27, 2015 Unless this turns out to be Chuck's call, there's NO WAY hhm wouldn't have hired jimmy. doesnt matter where he graduated, if ur the partners brother, its a no brainer. in the least, they wouldve placed him at another reputable firm. just how the world works
