Mar 27, 2015 I think, from what we've seen, Chuck is pretty fed up with Jimmy by the time he finally passss the BAR. Chuck is against entitlement. He seems like a hardworker and clearly wants his hoodlum of a brother to recognize the merits of dedication as well So yeah, it's probably Chucks call that Jimmy make his own name -- but he had the other dude tell jimmy that they'll reconsider in 6 months or whatever I'm sure if Jimmy wasn't such a f--- up up until the , chuck would've helped out more lol
Mar 27, 2015 I have to admit though, I definitely saw that coming. I think you're the first person I've seen use bullet points on here. But on a serious note, why is it people always s--- on every love story on every show? Mans gotta get his d-ck s----d. I think getting Chuck involved in a case now is a huge mistake. Having a crazy person representing you doesn't tend to lead to favorable results.
Mar 27, 2015 This has nothing to do with my point, but ok lol Maybe. You can fill in the blanks, but the writing/characterization should be better. One line would've perhaps fixed it, but as it is its underwritten and a little weak. there's plenty of fuckups in the corporate world -- legit no reason chuck would not have at least used the firms network to help his brother get a job. baffling
Mar 27, 2015 Yeah, I saw it as Chuck not wanting to hire Jimmy but he didn't have the guts to tell him himself. Didn't Jimmy ask something along the lines of "Aren't you proud of me?" Also, I'm thinking that Chuck is gonna take the Sandpiper Crossing case and go back to HHM, leaving Jimmy in the dust.
Mar 27, 2015 at the end of the day it's a show. They did this in BB as well, like when Gus brought in the two d--- dealers who killed the young kid to talk to Jesse. Why in the f--- would Gus, who is supposed to be a criminal mastermind, let two street level D-bags know who he was. Stuff like that annoys me too though

Mikes monologue is obviously the highlight so far as far as acting goes, but right from the series premiere, odenkirk has been on fire The scene where he's watching his own better call Saul commercials in the first episode >>>
Mar 31, 2015 Yes, but I don't know if it's the right character to take home an Emmy. The greatest thing about Odenkirk is that he really embodies the character he's playing. The writers were able to take a two dimensional character at best, Saul the wise cracking, fast talking, scumbag criminal lawyer, and turn him into a fully fledged character while keeping the characteristics of the original character. They've built a believable back story, one that feels as if it has purpose in relation to the character rather than just an attempt to flesh things out to ride on the coat tails of BrBa's success, and Odenkirk's acting chops are instrumental in making the character come to life. edit: I didn't even explain why I didn't think he could take home an Emmy lmao. im headed out tho will be back to finish my respone l8r @Narsh
