Nov 30, 2014 The Avengers will assemble again in early January when they re-s---t scenes that'll take two weeks that "needs a bit more kick-a--- on an extravagant scale." Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Paul Bettany, Scarlett Johansson are confirmed to be involved along with Tom Hiddleston. Looks like after Idris Elba confirmed that Heimdall and Loki are in AoU we will be getting a little more of Loki My guess is Loki's scenes somehow factor into both Thor: Ragnarok seeing as he is now Odin and factors into the upcoming 2 parter Infinity War. Don't forget Loki is still Thanos' little b----, so could we see a scene of Loki delivering the Infinity Gauntlet, that is currently in Asgard, to Thanos in an epic scene?
Nov 30, 2014 Anthony Hopkins wasn't keen on playing Odin again though, in a interview last year he said "I’ve done two, that’s enough.” Unless they can convince him to change his mind I don't think we'll be seeing Loki as Odin in the future.
Nov 30, 2014 Apart from him not wanting to return I'd say the plan all along was to have Loki appear as him at the end of The Dark World. Thanos needs the gauntlet which is currently in Asgard. He needs that and he needs an inside man to get it such as Loki. Loki impersonating Odin would be perfect for Loki to give an excuse as to why to remove the gauntlet from Asgard. The Avengers are busy battling Ultron, Loki while under the radar gives Thanos the gauntlet.
