I'll still never understand why Em has never worked with Nas or Andre 3000?

    I love Relapse.

But hate "Framed". Like most things on 'Revival'.

Probably as it feels contrived. 'Relapse' was what he felt like making at the time, "Framed" is an attempt to imitate it...

I guess you can't hide contrivance too well.

Not sure about 3 stacks but Nas offered him to appear on a remix of "Daughters" from 'Life is Good'. Em rejected because he said he'd rapped too much about his daughters.

I love Framed. He said, that was the track he had the most fun with on revival

Ah yes, yah yah is smt else. I hope it will turn out to be the first of many posse cuts on Ems future albums. That was a jaw dropping moment when i just had waken up and saw q-tip and black thought being featured on Ems new album, crazy.

    This tbh ^^^

I know Em likes to diversify his sound, but come on, whoever told him his Shady XV/Revival style was the s--- needs shooting in the foot... Shady XV and Revival were both subjected to the choppy sound

As much as I hate his ( 2010 to 2017 ) sound and flow, we still gotta salute him. I can’t think of any rap artist that changed his flow/delivery + voice as much as him
He is always trying to creat something new
And he made new fans with his new s---.
    Truly genius!
I think what I really hated is that from 2010 to 2017 most his songs sound soft and pop which doesn’t fit his persona and brand
But from kamk till now, he is back with new flow and sound but yet it is still feels like “Eminem”

Impossible. Unless he stops being himself. His music will never be critically acclaimed at this point. Critics were trashing him back in his prime days too anyway. Only reason they went back and rated those albums better was because he had the huge fan favorite behind him but now it's gone. Now everybody is a critic and they hate Em. The most he can get is with MTBMB by critics. His most critically aclaimed album is probably one of the best rap albums ever and yet its' ratings are on par with average Kanye albums...

I've always thought his style didn't mesh well with Andre 3000. As for Nas, sure he respects him a lot but as most people do, he might find his music a lil boring. Illmatic aside, I've never really liked Nas' sound. It's so hard to listen to an album by him front to back.

He was geniune with that. He really was fed up with personal s---. He never talked bout his family except apologizing for past behavoirs where he took things too far and those were a lot later than Nas' offer. It was before 2012 that we heard he rejected the offer by Nas and Recovery had like 0 personal family song. He never even mentioned Hailie I guess. MMLP2 had some sort of personal s--- but it was more than a year later anyway.

Agreed. Plus, his 2010-17 styles bring some great gems too. I don't listen to them lately except the ones from Revival (like Castle and Believe) but I'm sure after some sort of time some of us will be giving them spins again. After Kamikaze he went on a roll. It feels like he is in his 2nd prime as far as the quality goes.

@CSA Recovery had Going thru changes, he did mention some personal things in there, as well as name drop all 3 daughters, but you are right about how he turned Nas down. Theyve always been cool forsure, Em made the cross for him and Nas named dropped him in a song too. He did answer a question recently and say Andre is who hed like to work with the most that he hasnt yet, and id really love that. i think if they recorded together theyd definitely make something dope.

I think people tend to say "yes men" or "whose telling him this is good" too much. Its almost like PPL see him as a toddler drawing and showing it to adults and they're like "YES VERY GOOD MARSHALL" lol. Bc at the end of the day even when ppl critique him he doesn't always listen. Royce said he told EM he had too many over the top Hooks and pop features for revival, and Mr porter had given him some feedback too of things he didn't think he needed. End of the day He's the one to make the final call. Although i do believe he let Paul have too much influence at times. Paul says he doesn't go to the studio, But Em has made several subtle statements over the years about paul telling him to dial it back, or when they're making an album they need certain records for certain things. I think Paul going to Def jam for a bit took him out of the picture a bit which was good. I think He knows he can do what he wants when he wants, plus he's just wanting to rap, be competitive and create now. Paul just seems so out of place though in interviews with EM. When they all go to Shade 45 or whatever. He's like a f---ing Hallway Monitor. I know he came up in the hip hop scene and known EM since 95 or 96 but that man is all Law Firm, Corporate swagger. Maybe hes different off camera. but he gets on my godamn nerves lol

    Disorderly Progress What's cookin?

    There is a chance.

But, I doubt it. People are petty. The critics are as petty as he is, so the fact he continuously goes at critics in the content, especially again recently; I think they will overly downgrade s---. Then he reacts. It's the same predictable cycle.

Time fixes most things though. So a new era of critics won't be feeling the same way and things will get properly rated. MMLP should be a 95/100 on Metacritic. Masterpiece level. I mean, it kind of is talked about that way now anyway.

I think Relapse, Kamikaze and 'Murder ratings will go up in time.

I think his tonality and themes are so grating for some all the time though, so I sincerely doubt it. Unless he completely abandons personal material, grating tones and comes up with completely surprising content... I doubt it.
