i think a lot of you are responding without having listened to much of the artists' recent output. examples:
snoop has moved on to a different phase of his career--he's rap's george clinton. i get if he was forcing out rappity rap albums, but how can you be mad at bush? still one of the genre's best performers.
e-40 is still rapping at a preposterously high level. he had a huge, innovative hit last year and continues to be one of the 15 or 20 best rappers ever.
i'm not generally a game fan, but his new album (especially the second disc) is quite literally the best he's ever rapped. he's getting better creatively, he's beloved locally and his sales are on the upswing.Section80, Meero, Michael Myers and 2 others like this. -
