Apr 11, 2016 It hurts my inner comic book nerd heart, okay Narsh ugh but it does not lol. Will Smith is great.
Apr 11, 2016 The original green lantern is white. Who gives a s--- if Deadshot is black. That's your problem? That f---ing Deadshot is black? Lmaooo. Leto > Ledger, so it's not a far fetched assumption to think that his portrayal will be better. In terms of accuracy to the comics, Leto's seems spot on in a lot of aspects. Ledger's was just a completely different, original iteration of the character. That new trailer was awesome though. Suicide Squad looking like a classic.
Apr 11, 2016 Margot as Harley is gonna be the only reason to see this, but it will be a decent movie I think
Apr 11, 2016 Sure they're 0-2 for the DCCU movies so far, managed to do the impossible by wasting multiple Important events in BVS and likely to f--- up the Justice League too but they can't possibly get this one wrong too right?!?
Apr 11, 2016 C'mon now. BvS wasn't that bad. Don't think they're 0-2. They've both made a lot of money, and that alone is no failure. They weren't the best movies but they weren't bad by any means.
Apr 11, 2016 There were a lot of problems definitely. Some major plot holes. i.e. Lex Luthor's plan was so hollow it hurt, and the reason they stop fighting was very, very dumb. But at a certain point, maybe more so from a fan's standpoint, there's too much to not like. Snyder definitely did his homework, and it showed in bvs. I just respect the s--- out of that.
Apr 11, 2016 Obviously they weren't failures commercially but it just feels like DC is trying to make up for lost time and are just tripping over themselves in the process. But I'd rather them stumble some of the earlier moves than f---ing up the major ones (I.e. Justice League) so if this is what it takes than so be it. That being said, I don't think SS will have many issues as long as they avoid over censoring it/ making it family friendly.
Apr 11, 2016 what homework exactly? im asking from the pov of someone who's not familiar with any of the comics to me the movie was a disjointed mess. only redeeming qualities were batfleck and gl gadot
Apr 11, 2016 It was riddled with references and accuracies to the comics throughout. One in particular was the dream sequence. There were these monster flying around if you noticed, called Parademons. That's a deeeep f---ing cut. Subtle references to Darkseid and an overall undertone of a future film to be Injustice. Also little things, like Batman on the edge of the building when he grapples away from Doomsday. There is a flash of lightning; that still frame is a direct reference to TDKR's splashpage/cover. Again, it's not the perfect movie, it made me sigh a few times throughout. They tried to cram too many classic comic story arcs into this one movie and it was very unnecessary. I still liked it though. All that aside, I still enjoyed it and I honestly just like seeing Batman on the big screen. WW was awesome too. The solo Batman film will be amazing.
Apr 11, 2016 Yeah I can deff understand. It honesty doesn't make the movie any better but I can obviously understand why it helps you enjoy it regardless I have a question tho...wtf was up w those vision u just mentioned? Especially the one literally telling him about Lois lane?
Apr 11, 2016 It's been out for awhile now but I'll hide it just in case cause I for one hate getting spoiled. Spoiler There's a story arc where The Joker kills Lois Lane and Batman is sort of inadvertently responsible for it by not killing him first, and Superman goes batshit crazy. He pretty much takes over and everyone's fear (Batman in this film's in particular) comes true. They fused that with the coming of Darkseid. (Think Thanos from the Marvel movies) I'm assuming he will be the big baddie in the Justice League movies. That scene was basically just a bleak vision of the future. The one with the person telling him about Lois Lane; that was Flash. I didn't care for the whole part entirely. Although I'm sure we'll appreciate it a little more when we actually see Flash travel back in time in one of the future JL/Flash movies. Basically, in one sentence; they're setting up a future plot. And that's kinda the problem. The average viewer is going to have absolutely no idea what's going on.
Apr 11, 2016 I got that it was flash but like why was batman having those vision? Can he see the future now somehow? Lol it just made no sense to me/the movie didn't really explain it
