Awesome, good job consistently reading. I'm still on the same book that I started right after my last post, I've been slacking lately. It's a non-fiction book about minor league baseball, Where Nobody Knows Your Name. I'm really enjoying it but still only 40% through.

I get a lot of good book recommendations from the investors podcast if anyone is familiar with them. They review books all the time.

And I just downloaded a bunch of books from this list

I'm currently reading the Alexander Hamilton biography (the musical is based on it) by Ron Chernow. It's over 700 pages, so it's very daunting. Next on the list is Ulysses. Before Hamilton, I read Animal Farm and Gatsby (5th time).

This morning I finished Michael Muhammad Knight's book Tripping with Allah.

Trying to decide on which one to read next: Why I Am a Salafi, or Huxley's Brave New World.

Thinking about trading in my old Kindle Touch for the new white version of the Kindle Paperwhite. I need that built-in backlight and it's super slick looking. And only $80 after the trade-in :happypepe:

Ooh and hopefully Prime day next week will have a discount on it

You're reading right now f--- boi

I'm reading A Man Lies Dreaming by Lavie Tidhar right now. Kinda an alt-history WWII noir type thing. I dig it so far.

Speaking of The Stand, this book is supposed to be very similar, but a lot of diehard fans of The Stand think it's better! Started tonight and am reading now

I thought I did but maybe not!

Yeah I enjoyed The Stand quite a bit, finally finished it last fall. I couldn't really get into Dark Tower tbh, I finished the first book and tried the second but it just wasn't doing it for me. The casting for the film adaptation looks A1 though so I might have to give it another try before that drops.

Glad to hear you liked The Stand! As for The Dark Tower, I would say if you can't get into the second book then maybe it's just not for you. Let me know if you give it another try

Stickying this thread so it's easier for us to find and since its been active since the forum opened.

Going camping at the Grand Canyon this weekend so I'm loading up with new Kindle books. I love reading in a tent at night. :)

Downloaded Nerve since the movie preview looked interesting, so I'll probably start that this weekend.

Started reading Bush's Wars by Terry H. Anderson. I'm infatuated with the history of the Middle East and foreign affairs there so I thought why not?
