    Try some classic novellas. The Old Man and the Sea, The Metamorphosis, Heart of Darkness, etc. Super short but still classics.

    Read metamorphosis last semester for one of my classes. Interesting read, I would deff recommend for a quick read.

    I've read the Hemingway one a couple of years ago. I want to read the second one soon, I'm new to the author. Also want to read the trial real bad.

    Looks light enough. I'm not sure about the young adult genre, but it might surprise me.

    Read this in grade school. Fell in love with dystopian fiction afterword. No clue if it holds up.

    The Looting Machine by Tom Burgis. It's the only book that I'm reading for one of my classes that I am actually taking the time to sit through and read normally because it's interesting.
