Sep 5, 2021 Ofc people will say Kanye lol. Cuz people are overhating Em and overrating Kanye. If Kanye dropped Revival people would be calling it as good as Donda at least but if Em would have dropped Donda (not even Kanye's worst lol) they would probably trash it worse than they did to Revival. No, I'm not comparing Revival to Donda. They are very very different. Almost as if complete different genre. But I have to say Kanye never had a better written song than Castle & Arose ever or better song in overall for that matter. It's rap at the end of the day. Kanye might produce some dope beats, instrumentals but rap is more about words and rhymes, Eminem with his worst s--- is better than Kanye's best s--- lyrically. Don't get me wrong I love Kanye songs too. He has so many classics. MBDTF is flawless. But 1/3 of Kanye's discography is unlistenable to me, other 1/3 is very influential, authentic in so many ways but not for everybody's ears nor for anytime if u know what i mean. But his first 5 albums are either great or classics. All I can say is, nobody can really deny the fact that Em has been dropping a lot better albums compared Kanye in the last decade. To be more specific 99-03 Em is the best among all eras of the both artists. SSLP - MMLP - TES (even 8 Mile & Devil's Night when you just take the Em parts of them) are all classics. 10/10 04-10 Kanye is great and actually very close to prime Em. (CD, LR are probably classics (10/10), Graduation is great (8/10), 808s is considered classic but I wouldn't go that far, still great album(7/10). And his best ever, MBDTF (10/10) 04-10 Eminem is definitely worse than Kanye, Encore has so many fillers, but its highpoints are as good as songs on first 3 albums. (6/10) Relapse is a cult classic to so many but it was released at the wrong time, not a good idea for post hiatus comeback album. Still I'd say it's 7/10 or something. Recovery is unique in its own ways for Em. I'd say it's a solid performance 6-7/10. 11-21 - Eminem is so much better than Kanye. MMLP 2 was mediocre in overrall but it's still a solid 6/10 to me. Revival easily had some of the best Em songs ever let alone his comeback but in overall it wasn't that good, I can agree to that. 5/10. But after that everything he dropped are fire. Kamikaze 8-10/10, MTBMB both sides are 8-10/10. He is almost as good as his prime self. 11-21 - Kanye was constantly declining. Yeezus grown on me I gotta say. It had some dope a---, unique beats and flows but sometimes it's too much lol. But easily a solid 7/10. TLOP always felt something was missing but 7/10. Ye and Kids See Ghosts are weak as f--- to me, not much to love about even with very few songs 5/10. Jesus Is King is 3/10, don't even wanna talk about it. Donda is very fresh, definitely feels more Kanye but not more than 4-5/10 for me. It's amazing after dropping 3-4 very weak albums back to back, Kanye is still considered great but yet Em was completely underrated and overhated since Revival tracklist lol.

Sep 5, 2021 Kanyes discography is for the most part timeless with JIK and Ye as it's absolute weakpoints and TLOP and Donda as enjoyable albums with it's weaknesses. Eminem has two classic albums with SSLP and MMLP (some might add The Eminem Show but this album is so f---ing filled with outdated MTV era references that it's pretty hard to consider it a classic). Encore was s-----y, Relapse was entertaining, Recovery was meh, MMLP2 was unlistenable besides a few songs, Revival was atleast an attempt at making a honest piece of late-career work with substance but was sonically not very pleasing nonetheless, Kamikaze was alright, on MTBMB he uses beats that he thinks are modern but are like 2015ish while dissing new gen rappers and women (again), not very clever. MTBMB 2 was marginally better than part 1 but still nothing special. My point goes to Kanye.
Sep 5, 2021 How can you be the arbiter of that when you are white? Some people would argue that your opinion doesn't matter in this particular case just for that simple fact of you not being black. The thing is I don't really care what's your take on that, cause being part of "the culture" or whatever doesn't occupy space in my mind and it wasn't really my goal to start a discussion about this. Although I think it's pretty funny that those words came from white person lol. All in all, it was just an honest question, cause your activity here seems to be only negative lately and all I see is you complaining about everything. If you have a problem with people having different opinion than yours and voicing it here on the forum, which is its purpose then I don't know what to tell you. Eh I don't really care about randos opinion on the Internet lol. I guess "pandemic" or more so lockdowns took its toll on him, cause I don't remember him being this negative before.
