Christian Berishaj, better known by his stage name JMSN (pronounced Jameson), is an Albanian-American singer-songwriter and record producer from Eastpointe, Michigan.
Also a multi-instrumentalist, music engineer and mixer, JMSN's debut album Priscilla, was released in 2012. He wrote and produced the album by himself, as well as directed the music videos accompanying its release.

He learned how to play other instruments and began holding neighborhood garage performances with a band,
Snowhite, he formed with three other members.[He attended South Lake High School in St. Clair Shores.
Eventually, he began mailing demos and performance videos to record labels, having his mother cold call A&R representatives,By eighteen, Berishaj had written and recorded a whole album, Love Arcade, on which he plays all the instruments. He secured a recording contract with Atlantic Records, after turning down an offer from Sony Records, along with his band in 2005. His demos had impressed David Wimmer and Leslie Dweck of Atlantic, who were taken by Berishaj's drive and ambition. Love Arcade was released in 2006 with the band credited as Love Arcade, the other members served as the touring band only, not performing on the record. He was known as Snowhite while in the group. After three years together, the band broke up.

Berishaj then left Detroit for Los Angeles. He began working on his solo debut with Luke Walker of The Summer Obsession. His song, "1, 2, 3, Turn Around" was featured in the 2009 film, Fired Up. He used the money earned from the licensing to fund a music video for the song "When She Turns 18", which resulted in him signing to Universal Motown Records as Christian TV in January 2010. On July 29, 2010 Christian TV made his network television debut, performing "When She Turns 18" live on So You Think You Can Dance. In October, Berishaj released his first mixtape entitled "Who The F*ck Is Christian TV" for free. During this time he also went on tour supporting Pete Wentz and his new band Black Cards in the UK. Berishaj began working on his debut album, Diary of an 80's Baby with production by Kevin Rudolf, No I.D., co-production with Luke Walker and Berishaj himself. He also co-wrote a song for Japanese pop singer, Hitomi's album Spirit. Universal Motown was later shut down and he did not appear on the rosters of the resulting Universal Republic Records or Motown Records.

After leaving his label, Berishaj started his own White Room Records and adopted the moniker, JMSN. He released his debut album, Priscilla in January 11, 2012. The album was written and produced by Berishaj himself and is of the R&B genre as opposed to pop-rock and electropop of his previous projects. He also pursues darker emotional themes in lyrics over melancholic melodies and beats that The Guardian described as "spaced out" and compared to fellow R&B artist The Weeknd. Self-directed videos for "Alone", "Hotel" and "Something" were released to accompany the album's release, while a video for "Girl I Used to Know" was released under his previous stage name. In April, R&B singer Usher told music magazine NME that JMSN was his "favorite new act".

I had an advanced copy of Priscilla for a few months before it came out due to some promo work I was doing on a blog back then. It's fire. I didn't like the Pllaje EP much. I thought it was quite bland.

The Blue Album is fantastic though. It's a lot more soulful than his other work.

d---, i thought Pllaje was amazing. It was short, but it was amazing.

When i first heard The Blue Album when it leaked, i was so disappointed, mostly because there was such a huge change in style, i only heard a few tracks off it, then i deleted it as i was going to wait for it to be officially released before i cast proper judgement. I listened to it last night & i was amazed, its a fantastic album.

The original tracklist has 14 tracks. My edited version has 13 tracks, as I took Addicted Pt.II off of the tracklist & i added it to the end of Addicted Pt.I to make it a big track, as i feel part II doesnt hold up well on its own.

I don't know why, but I can't get into the Blue Album... It's just not what I'm used to from JMSN... I don't know, maybe it will grow on me, but from first listen it's a little boring compared to his older s---.

    01. My Way
    02. 'Bout It
    03. Steet Sweeper
    04. Addicted
    - I combined part 1 & 2, as i felt part 2 didnt hold up well on its own
    05. Waves - I originally combined Waves & Ocean, but Ocean is 99% talking & ruins the replay value so i cut it, but i kept the end of Ocean which leads into Ends (Money)
    06. Ends (Money)
    07. Need U
    08. Score
    09. Delay
    10. All Apologies
    11. Price
    12. Foolin
    - I cut the talking at the end of the song, so i dont have to listen to over 2 minutes of talking.

Other than the few edits i did, the album is amazing, when i first heard several of the songs when it first leaked, i was pretty worried, but i deleted it the same day i downloaded it, because i wanted to hear it in high quality before passing judgement.

If anyone wants the edited version, i can send it to you, its a 320kbps rip of the album.

Sooo good. I love the blue album so much. What he did with the new album showed us he didnt box himself into a corner, he's able to evolve as an artist while remaining true to himself.. the whole 90's theme he is using in his videos is something i really love, i wish he degraded the tracks when adding them to the music video's so they actually sound like an old vhs ripped to digital.

I havent listened to JMSN's ''Blue'' Album in some time now, im listening right now, & I forgot how brilliant he is of an artist.

Priscilla & Pllaje have a certain sound that i love in music, the reverb laced vocals & instruments just take things to another level.

The Blue Album has such a refined sound, i never thought he'd top his first album & ep, but god has he.

Just had to look up this thread. I was familiar with JMSN when there was talks of him collabing with Ab-Soul to do a project. And, I'm a Cole fan so I also heard them both on Game's Pray track. I don't know why I stopped following him but recently my friend showed me his 'Bout It video purely cuz his videos are always funny and it was my first time hearing him in a long time and I just so happened to have iTunes gift cards so I bought Blue. As I type, I'm three tracks in. Beautiful. I hope I don't offend but it sounds like JT back in the day when the neptunes produced for him. Im gonna go back and hear his previous projects.

He has a similar tone as JT, which isnt a bad thing because JT is the Pop GOAT.
Id love to know what you think of the rest of the album.

DEFINITELY CHECK OUT HIS FIRST PROJECT & PLLAJE :emoji_thumbsup:
