Dec 15, 2014After listening to Relapse, Recovery and The MMLP2 over the last few months I have to be honest and say that in my opinion Recovery is the best solo Album since Eminems comeback. It is the only one I go back to and listen without getting bored or unsatisfied. To me it has replay value and some of his tracks still feel as fresh as they were when they were released and I've replayed the sh!t out of it in the past. In terms of quality, delivery, flow, storytelling and execution as a whole, Recovery wins hands down. I understand some of the production is poppy and there are some cringeworthy tracks but it is the most complete album Eminem has released since his comeback and the only thing as close as to his top 3 that we are probably ever going to get.

I love how the MMLP2 dickriders hate on Recovery for how "poppy" and "soft" it is. Space Bound is light years darker than any song from MMLP2.Mike02, Meero, Epitome and 1 other person like this. -

Recovery as a whole is as safe as a pop/rap album gets. A lot of generic/corny concepts executed decently. Not to mention there's a whole lot of filler on that album.
Eminem is way more intriguing and engaging on MMLP2, as I've said 1000 times before he actually brings back some of the traits that once made him so great, on MMLP2.joeyp363, Translucent, asvdawg and 1 other person like this. -

Recovery is easily his best album since his comeback. I think its still the best thing he's done since 8 Mile. It might be the most meaningful album of his career, which was pretty much dead in the water at that point. He seemed like a has been and a joke after Relapse. Recovery made him relevant again. He addressed so many issues on that album (his drug addiction and recovery, admitting he fell off, his life during his hiatus, Proof's death, leaving Kim again and all the frustration of that relationship). This was the first time since TES that we heard Eminem putting some fresh personal content in his music. Unfortunately by the time MMLP2 came out he once again didn't have anything too important to say, and we just got "a bunch of playful songs that he made for fun"Suburban Scum, CSW and Mikey like this. -
