Dec 15, 2014 After listening to Relapse, Recovery and The MMLP2 over the last few months I have to be honest and say that in my opinion Recovery is the best solo Album since Eminems comeback. It is the only one I go back to and listen without getting bored or unsatisfied. To me it has replay value and some of his tracks still feel as fresh as they were when they were released and I've replayed the sh!t out of it in the past. In terms of quality, delivery, flow, storytelling and execution as a whole, Recovery wins hands down. I understand some of the production is poppy and there are some cringeworthy tracks but it is the most complete album Eminem has released since his comeback and the only thing as close as to his top 3 that we are probably ever going to get.
Dec 15, 2014 Its definitely not my favourite since he's come back, but i think it was his most forward-pushing album, he was really trying to evolve as an artist on it, even if it was a bit forced
Dec 15, 2014 despicable was a breath of fresh air recovery was the first album to be downloaded a million times, and is still the only album with two songs each downloaded more than 10 million times
Dec 15, 2014 MMLP 2 is the best album since TES. Bad Guy, Brainless, GD, Rhyme or Reason, the third verse of Love Game, Beautiful Pain, Legacy, Evil Twin, Baby >>>>>>>>>>>> GTC, Space Bound, WTP or T2M (the 4 best song of Recovery, the rest is mediocre, and i love Not Afraid)
Dec 15, 2014 mmlp2 is obviously in another universe technically but i get why people would see recovery as a more cohesive project. that's all intentional though
Dec 15, 2014 I would say relapse is my favorite album since eminem's comeback. Plus during football practice my freshman year I remember a girl crying with a rumor eminem died and was stanning out thinking f---, his new album is supposed to be out soon. I remember totaling my first car while playing relapse too. We have my mom, de ja vu, must be the ganja, beautiful. With the extended version of relapse, buffalo bill, elevator, my darling, careful what you wish for. All great songs compared to what he has put out after relapse.
Dec 15, 2014 talking about addiction & other srs bsns >>> exercising demons and liz rodrigues recovery delivery & schemes >>> accents and bar counting I enjoyed recovery when it came out and still do. who woulda knew just a few short months later we'd get hts too
Dec 15, 2014 Recoverys delivery ruined the album for me. I can only listen to seduction once in a while. I never understood the hype for spacebound. I tried so hard to enjoy the song and never could. I'll give it another listen sometime soon.
Dec 15, 2014 Are you really telling me that there are songs in Recovery that are better than Bad Guy, Brainless or GD? (except GTC, Space Bound and T2M) n----- you are drunk.
Dec 15, 2014 Recovery as a whole is as safe as a pop/rap album gets. A lot of generic/corny concepts executed decently. Not to mention there's a whole lot of filler on that album. Eminem is way more intriguing and engaging on MMLP2, as I've said 1000 times before he actually brings back some of the traits that once made him so great, on MMLP2.
Dec 15, 2014 GTC is the only song of Recovery that is in the same level than Brainless, Bad Guy or GD
Dec 15, 2014 on relapse em was kinda just testing himself recovery's extremely... consistent... flow will always be a point of contention for better or worse mmlp2 isn't really comparable tbh
Dec 15, 2014 on recovery the songs all have a pretty similar feel you can't deny that some people like this and others don't i prefer his more experimental s--- personally not afraid was a very conceptual experimental first single so I liked it a lot berzerk had a pretty different message but was enjoyable as well right for me has almost a thousand words doe
Dec 15, 2014 The top 3 songs on Recovery (GTC, Seduction & Spacebound) are fantastic without a doubt and easily among the top 10 since his come back. I think what people tend to forget with this album is that it's also filled with tracks like Cinderella Man, So Bad, You're Never Over etc. which are all pretty much the definition of filler tracks.
Dec 15, 2014 Relapse has to be his best since come back for for me. Many songs on recovery were ruined by bad punchlines, bad production and a forced flow. Relapse wasn't lyrically the best but the production was great, his accent flowed well for me and its the only album since his comeback that also has good playful songs on it.
