it elevates them above other artists and sends the message that the community here is all drake & kendrick fans and we're all clamouring for them to release their next s--- to the point of stanning.

and it'd definitely deter them. if some r----- stan is poking around websites to join, are they going to join a site that has one general hip hop board where all artists are being discussed or are they going to join a site with an active eminem specific section where there ARE discussions about his socks and his daughters? they're probably more likely to join a site that has a section for stanning than a site that doesn't.

and sadly this is why we are doing this...yes 4 times outta 5 you will get a r-----..but the 5th one will be good

i assure you we will not let the forums go to s---...this will be more dynamic than any other forum you been a part of...also featured album section is still a thing when a big album comes around

its a tradeoff of quality vs quantity

as a member of the forum i hate the idea of a lot of s--- posters destroying any good discussion and any respectable image this site could have had for being a legit outlet for hip hop discussion

but i can see from the admins eyes wanting to get more posters to get the traffic up. i hate that that's how its going down but das it mane they want more members and i get that

show me one forum that can be built off based on quality vs quantity...it doesnt exist and no one will visit after few months if they only getting 50 posts per day...you need posts..you need chat...and to a degree you even need spam..but look at the good threads we had this month...look at the only one thread the multiply thread and so many others that had 300 posts and they were all healthy...something that was impossible to accomplish on SL in the last 2 years...what im saying is through the specific section you speak of...we still have a lot of good content

btw ktt still have kid cudi section...so to a degree artist sections do work...it is NOT easy to grow..it takes plans/visions/money/structure...etc

there is also another reason we have dedicated sections that some of you might recognize

Someone could literally say something casual like "Eminem shouldn't have have had a pop singer on his album" and you blow a gasket (despite the fact that you probably agree with them based off how many times you put down kanye for using pop singers)
