Jun 17, 2015 I wasn't disappointed in the last episode, but I felt like they crammed a little too much in...it's like they were just like "OK here's a scene for dany, here's a scene for tyrion, here's a scene for sam etc." If I recall correctly, in the books Jon's death Spoiler is ambiguous. He gets hit in the back of the head and the chapter ends. The only other character's death that was ambiguous was Theon's, and he ended up coming back. Definitely the worst season, but it was still enjoyable and had some fantastic episodes. My biggest disappointment was how lame the Sandsnakes were in the show because they were pretty badass in the books. They were needlessly sexualized, cringey, and overall pretty bad actresses. I'm hoping the writers have what GRRM has written of book 6 to work with for season 6. He claims he wants to get the next book out before S6 but you know how that goes.
Jun 18, 2015 That battle hasn't been in the books yet. Winds of Winter material, and I personally doubt it will have the same outcome. Don't know if this should be spoiler-tagged, but I don't know how to insert those things
Jun 18, 2015 yea it's already been said the book and show will start deviating greatly after season 5 and I personally think these last episodes were the start of that for s6
Jun 18, 2015 Im pretty sure the b---- didnt k--- stannis If he died, like that...im not watching the show anymore
Jun 18, 2015 i personally hope she dies horribly not a fan of her character and that she is a "main" character with an arc i like that she is badass killer but she's such a p---- during all her screen time plus, the hound
Jun 18, 2015 Would be the most underwhelming death of the show. My 2 cents is that if you don't see a character die on screen, they're not dead. Even if they are dead on screen it doesn't mean they're dead on this show. Shoutout to Thoros I HATE her arc this season. She was all about saving Sansa, and when she sees Stannis she's all like "f--- Sansa"
Jun 18, 2015 right when that happened i said, no way this happened in the books..that is just BAD writing...like are we doing convenient writing now? really?
Jun 18, 2015 wasnt lost 5 like amazing season? and 6 was the bad finale season? or am i remembering things wrong?...the season before the finale was godly whatever number that was
Jun 18, 2015 Brienn left her post because Stannis' army was approaching. Sansa put the candle up because Stannis' army was approaching. Both seem pretty logical, though overlydramatic with the timing.
Jun 18, 2015 gtfo ... this type of writing shouldnt take place at shows that is aimed to be respected...for the candle to light up 1 second after brienn stopped looking?...bad bad bad writing 4 f---ing seasons of build up for stannis, for his "war" to happen off screen to save on budget or whatever? and i hope to god stannis didnt really die, cuz if he did..this show turned instantly to pathetic
Jun 18, 2015 no...season 6 was easily the worst...but season 5 was quite bad too, it was the year that everyone was in denial about how bad the show was getting...when the time traveling started the season 5 finale was excellent and a definite saving grace...but overall it was when it became clear the show was going downhill
Jun 18, 2015 Not disagreeing with it being rushed, the entire last episode was squeezed together. Should've paced the season better. Wouldn't call it a writing issue. I don't get the hard on for Stannis. He's never very likeable, nor is he supposed to be. His arch completed. He lost everything bidding for a throne that was never supposed to be his. Where would he go from here?
