Jun 27, 2015 Stannis' "death" wasn't bad at all in my opinion. He spoke of honor and justice, and that he should be on the throne, but his justice was always wrong because he never sought out the honorable ways of getting the throne. He killed his brother with a shadow demon, hoping that would help him, and he lost the battle of Blackwater because of it. He burns Mance alive, loses any chance with the wildlings, and loses half his army because of it. He burns his daughter alive, and another half of his army turns on him. He was a honorable man in thought and words alone. When it came to actions, he sought out the corrupt and evils methods to achieve his goals. The fact that Brieanne, one who vowed to avenge Renly, gets to k--- him is great in my opinion. She deserves the k---, and that payoff is much better than Stannis falling deeper into madness as he clings to his claim to the throne. He's paying for his actions, and it's actual justice he's being given. That's likely the whole point of his arc coming to a close.

Jul 23, 2015 ^Cool, kinda figured after all the speculation. I'm almost done with the 1st book in the series, it's taken me almost 2 months but it's really good. It's a good refresher on the show since I've only seen it all once.
Jul 23, 2015 I too have started reading the books. Ive always wanted to, but my life never permitted it. Ive been ill lately, so i havent been able to leave the house, so ive been reading the books, I finished book 1 last week, & im on book 2 right now & Im already half way through, thats how much i love it so far. Good luck with the reading man & maybe we could discuss it some time
