May 8, 2016 I have a new (maybe?) theory on Jon Snow's backstory... Melisandre (red woman) recently revealed that she's much older than we once thought. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that she is part targaryen herself. Her obsession with fire (lord of light) would tie in really well. She also appears to have an obsession of sorts with Jon Snow... My theory is that she seduced Ed Stark some time ago and gave birth to Jon (she's his mother) and Ed then raised him on his own. With Bran having flashbacks now, I think we're in for a big reveal. This would then tie in well to the running theory is that you need to be targaryen to ride a dragon. 3 dragons. Obviously khaleesi is #1. John gonna be #2...would lady in red take the spot that we've been thinking would go to Tyrion? ...apologies if this is half thought out. Hungover today.

May 8, 2016 Howland Reed. The father of Meera and Jojen (Bran's companions). Yes, I read your theory. Which is why I said that even if she were a Targ, I doubt Ned would b--- her. There's definitely at least one character she could be if she were an old Targ.
