May 8, 2016 Arthur Dayne got stabbed in the back. He was one of the most respected and legendary knights of all time. He knighted Jaime and was a mentor to him. Howland is a close ally of the Starks which is why he sent his kids to Bran to help him. But he has yet to appear in the books or appear present day in the show. Aside from these flashbacks, he would be the only other living character to know what happened at the Tower.
May 8, 2016 i saw that formula in a couple of the spoiler tags, but closed out of em right away... is it a theory, or a spoiler? don't want spoilers
May 8, 2016 what @Lamont said. so while ur theory was p good, they've pretty much 99% confirmed one which has been going on for a while. i don't rec you read up about it if ur in the dark tho cus we'll see it soon enough
May 9, 2016 It's a d--- shame they didn't show Lyanna Stark's death and left us hanging. That would have confirmed that J=R+L, but I guess we'll see that later this season.
May 9, 2016 For those asking about Howland Reed Spoiler There is also a theory that he is the high sparrow
May 9, 2016 Im really curious who this three eyed raven guy is. I might be reaching, but since he is able to kind of travel through time, I have this theory that maybe he is from the future trying to unfuck things up from the past.
May 9, 2016 It seems like he can't change the past. But maybe Bran can? It seemed like Ned heard Bran, but the 3ER was very quick to s---t it down. Maybe he does't want him to know of this power yet?
May 9, 2016 I don't think the purpose of these flashbacks are to change the past. Just to unfold the truth.
May 9, 2016 Well, if you really want to know Spoiler He's an old Targaryen b------ called Brynden Rivers aka Bloodraven. He was once Hand of the King and was banished to join the Night's Watch by King Aegon V (aka Egg, aka Maester Aemon's brother). I'm not sure how the show explains it but in the books, he is able to see into the past through the faces on the weirwood trees.
