Oct 23, 2020Y'all gonna hate me, but CR7 for me
I've never seen a player impact scorelines the way he's done without having as many touches. Doesn't matter what system he plays in, or what system he's facing, he's going to score and you can't do anything about it. Say humanity was in some cataclysmic scenario where our survival depended on a football match, he's the first name you'd put on the team sheet since you know CR will rise to the occasion like he's always done.
Might not have been the most exciting player, nor is he the most precociously talented (although his footballing ability is honestly overlooked), but it's hard not to get behind a guy that trained vigorously to compete with a footballing alien.

For pure nostalgia reasons I’d say Eric Cantona... he was the main man for Ferguson in the early nineties helping secure their first PL title.

I love Ronaldo 9 for nostalgia & he probably had the greatest peak. But he didnt sustain it for long enough.Ordinary Joel, Fire Squad, Ricky and 1 other person like this. -

What's your favorite football player of all time and why? Not the best, your absolute favorite.
Mine is Ronaldo Luís Nazário. I remember as a kid I had those white shirts and I would take a marker and write on the back of the shirt the number 9 and the name Ronaldo, go out and play football all day. He was an idol for me, the way he played for Inter and Brazil. I don't think there will be another player like him.
Don't get me wrong I understand that the numbers show me that Messi or Ronaldo are better players, but not for me. I also believe that if he didn't suffer those injuries he would have been the best of all time.

He was a pure striker, number 9 with the the same dribbling qualities as Messi, Neymar or CR7. Can you think of one striker like him nowadays? There are none imo.
I love Messi and CR7 but I don't get the same feeling when I see them play, not only them football in general, as I used to get when I was watching Ronaldo. It could be because of the fact that now football is mostly about the money and not a lot of passion left in the game. I don't know.Ordinary Joel, Fire Squad and Ricky like this.
