    "It was like that moment when I thought about taking Nicki’s verse off of “Monster” because I knew people would say that was the best verse on the best Hip Hop album of all time or arguably top ten albums of all time. And I would do all that work, eight months of work on “Dark Fantasy” and people to this day would say to me ‘My favorite thing was Nicki Minaj’s verse.’ So if I let my ego get the best of me instead of letting that girl get the shot to get that platform to be all she could be, I would take it off or marginalize her, try to stop her from having that shining moment… as disruptive as that Nicki Minaj “Monster” verse was, it’s how disruptive the Yeezys were. People hadn’t felt that feeling since the Jordans."

    Glad he didn't. She did have the best or at least most interesting verse on Monster but there were a lot of better verses on the album

    :rudy: mbdtf isn't definitely full of top tier verses but nicki's verse is definitely pretty high up on the list

    Nicki's verse is the best on the album.

    Jay's verse ruined the song. That old camel fa----.

    i think its a great album but it doesnt have much replay from me even tho i know every lyric
    i played it for like 6-8 months straight then stopped

    Nope. Lyrically it was carried by the guests. But musically its top 5 of this decade so far.

    Like @Grimace said Gorgeous is the most lyrical thing on the album

    Songs like Runaway and Blame Game convey more emotion than 90% of rappers can do and delivery>technicality on emotional tracks like that

    Most others are at least decent to good, he just got some of the best features OAT (ALL TIME!) for it so ofc it's gonna outshine his just ok rapping

    I can't believe people really think that Nicki's verse is good on Monster. It's good for Nicki standards, considering most of her songs are absolute garbage, but no way is it great at all.

    and LOL @ calling this one of the best albums ever. There are countless albums that are better than MBDTF. again compared to the albums released at the same time, yes it was a very good album - but calling it one of the best albums ever? Now that's hard to accept without cringing.
