Jan 25, 2015Hi guys!
Sooo i am studying tourism and in one class we got this assignment when we have to get info of other cultures and their favorite country/city and i've done some quick research on google and some traveling forum but would be fun to see the what random induviduals from random countries that aren't that famililar with traveling (or what do i know) thoughts are.
And it may spark some interesting discussion. I know @escobar had this kind of thread on sl, you still here man?
anyways two questions What countries have you been to and what was your favorite?
I'll start, I've mainly been in europe but I would love to visit south and north america.
Sweden .. ofcourse (live here) but i've roadtrip through almost every city, think it is really beautiful in the summer f--- the winter though.
Thailand f---ing love the atmosphere and the people, got treated like a god with my blonde hair and blue eyes when I was there as a kid lol.
Spain
Greece
Turkey 4 times (typical for us scandivain people)
England
Wales
Norway - f--- so expensive everything is.. made a roadtrip there in 3 days trying to get to the top of europe's northernmost point ''Nordkapp'' but it was closed ofcourse.. we tried to sneak in but got caught almost at the top@Myril have you been there? and also what the f--- is up with your toilets man?
Is this really necessary?
Finland
Denmark - christiania
France twice, Paris has some of the most interesting tourist attractions without a doubt - louvre museum, eiffel tower, Pantheon, Pere Lachaise Cemetery and so on
Germany
Czech Prague fell in love with this city directly, probably my personal favorite. Going back to it in april and i cant f---ing wait!
Estonia - went on a party cruise there and had a suite, probably one of the best things i've done and the city Tallinn was really beautiful. Do we got any people from tallinn here?
Latvia
Italy
Croatia
Slovenia
Switzerland
Monaco
Thats all i think. My favorite is Prague, it would be Paris if the people werent so f---ing rude, not the civils but the ones who worked at restaurants, museums, the hotel and the f---ing taxi drivers, its a beautiful city no question about it but whats up with the attitude?
Would be cool if you post pitcures too

Then Casa Batlló and Pedrera are also worth visiting (also by Gaudí) and Park Guell (by the same guy) and from there you have a nice view of the city.
Then the old neighborhoods are all connected in the center - Born, Gotic, Raval, les Rambles, la Barceloneta... all the way down to the sea
You have Montjuic mountain, with its Historic castle, the Art History Museum.. also in the center there is Picasso museum. And many more ofc.
To go out at night, Razzmatazz and Apollo are two of the most known places to go - many foreigners and also students go there. In the middle of the week its cheaper btw. On the city center you have nice places also mostly for foreigners tbh. In the street you have pakistanis selling beer cans and samosas for cheap prices, also kebab places are everywhere.
To eat.. well, tapas are not so typical in Catalunya but you can still eat them. There is Blai street full of bars to eat.
Typical dishes in all Spain are tapas (croquettes, patatas bravas, calamares, etc), potato omelette (classic), paella, jamon, etc (in Catalunya the sandwiches have tomato spread on the bread, its traditional here). To drink; sangria, the beers are good (Estrella Galicia, Mortiz, Voll Damm..), cava (Catalan champange), kalimotxo (wine and coke)... i dont know there is a lot of stuff that i am probably not remembering now.
The metro service is pretty good and the night bus also. Watch out, the pick pocketing is very common in the touristic areas.Enigma, zukayoku, lil uzi vert stan and 1 other person like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

France (Paris)
Liechtenstein (Vaduz)
Switzerland
Austria (a few places)
Germany (a few places)
Holland (Amsterdam, but not really special since I live there)
Spain (Mallorca)
Would really like to go outside of Europe when I'm done with school and have enough money/time for it. I go to Austria every year and been to Mallorca 3 times. When we are in Austria we visit a lot of other places like last year Switzerland and Liechtenstein. This year will be Italy. Always wanted to go to Greece, but a few years ago it was Mallorca instead. But got enough time to go to other places, like to travel a lot. This thread can be helpful to find places that are not really 'famous' or anything.DeletedAccount, FlawlessT and Jimelej like this. -

There is so many beautiful places, I had the chance to see Milano
Venice
Mantua
and Cinque Terre, the most beautiful of them all. That's a place that you just have to visit before you die and if you do you should definitely rent a car and drive up to the mountains, believe me you wont be disappointed
I had to tell my friend to stop the car like every tenth meter so I could take a picture.
I'm just a little sad that I didn't get the chance to go to Rome and see the Colosseum but yeah Italy may be the best country i've been to since Czech Republic.
But I have to show respect to Monaco and Switzerland too, two other amazing countries
The view over Monaco is indescribable
And Lugano in Switzerland is

I LOVE traveling--its one of my favorite hobbies. But I've never even been outside the USA yet. I'm still pretty young though- so hopefully I'll live a lot longer and I'm sure eventually I'll get to another country.
I'd go to any country, but if I could pick, I'd go to Colombia or Italy.
So far, the most fun I've had traveling is when I went to Las Vegas. I actually saw Gale Sayers the first night I was there and had a great overall trip.
Great thread, by the wayThe Product, DeletedAccount and Jimelej like this.
