Jan 26, 2015 It's actually not that hard to listen to Encore front to back. It's impossible to do so with Relapse
Jan 26, 2015 Nah cant agree with that, while Encore has more good songs, its that section from Mosh until you finally get to Spend Some Time just makes it so hard. Where as Relapse has at least an okayish song every 3 to 4 songs.
Jan 26, 2015 i'd rather listen to Em be a clown on Big Weenie and Rain Man than seriously talking about sticking umbrellas up vaginas or prosthetics tacos or whatever
Jan 26, 2015 what don't you like about Recovery? Although I'd rather listen to Encore at this point, I never really fought anything was awful on Recovery. I used to be a fan of WTP and s--- too.
Jan 26, 2015 Completely agree. While it does have it good tracks, I'd rather listen to Eminem spit horrible lines that aren't forced over a decent beat rather than songs like Won't Back Down and Cinderella man.
Jan 26, 2015 Maybe it is just because I was less of a fan when it came out, but the nostalgia factor gets me through Encore, and even Relapse, but there is no way I'm going to sit through Won't Back Down, WTP, Not Afraid, Cinderella Man, 25 to Life, Almost Famous, or five minutes of You're Never Over. There's nothing good enough for such long stretches on the album and even the good stuff isn't that great. There's no payoff to justify sitting through the crap.
Jan 26, 2015 on a somewhat related note, I listened to MMLP and MMLP2 cover to cover in a row last night, and it was actually pretty tolerable. I think that MMLP2 is more boring than it is offensively bad. It was kind of depressing listening to MMLP and even Encore, though, because it really reminded me that he used to be able to rap. Even with s--- for content he could flow. Now he has s--- for content AND he sucks at delivery
Jan 26, 2015 don't worry man, he's just a bit special. he doesn't realize different people, like different things. That's why whenever there is something slightly negative said about Eminem he has to step in to tell everyone "ha ha dw guys they're just trolling. people don't actually dislike Eminem "
Jan 26, 2015 so you were in elementary school when the good albums were coming out. that is certainly a different perspective that I've wondered about- when you were in high school Eminem's first albums were already established facts of the musical world instead of something new
Jan 26, 2015 Yeah exactly, when I got into Em in middle school he was already on his hiatus or whatver. Encore already came and went and I had no idea about it. All I knew was that he had 3 incredible albums/found more about him on my own. Found and watched 8 mile etc When I was in elementary school I remember hearing 50 cent on the radio more than anything. Disco inferno, in da club, p---- >>
Jan 26, 2015 gotta say I think it was way better to have 50's rise while I was in college. In Da Club makes more sense at a dance party than in the car with your parents
Jan 26, 2015 Didn't like the article. Encore is a mess, through and through. To suggest otherwise is an attempt to rewrite history.
Jan 26, 2015 To say the least, MMLP2 has a handful of stand out tracks. I think it's a good album but I can understand certain people's criticism of it.
Jan 26, 2015 Yea I kinda got the best of both worlds. I had Dre's comeback and Eminem's rise to fame during my high school years. My graduation year (2002) was the peak of Eminem's career, then 50 was in his prime all through my college years. I remember me and my friends skipping class, getting stoned, and going to see 8 Mile in theaters opening day when I was a freshman in college. Those were the days.
Jan 26, 2015 g.d. it, I agree with an Arch Dogg post. kind of sad that you're as dumb as you are, though, for your age. I was hoping you might be like 12 and that would explain why everything you believe about everything is wrong
