Jan 27, 2015 This is an abomination to the franchise if you ask me. I have always been a Ghostbusters fan and when I heard a while back that they were writing a third one I was ecstatic. About 2 years ago I read somewhere that they they were writing a script for a new Ghostbusters in which the predecessors passed the "proton pack" down to new age comedians, but with the death of Harold Ramis last year, and the resignation of original director Ivan Reitman, that dream was dashed. Now, even far more upsetting, they re-wrote the script, making it a complete reboot of the original, gave it to Paul Feig to direct, and he casted an ALL FEMALE cast which includes Kristen Wiig, Melissa Mcarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon. The Ghostbusters fans on facebook are in an uproar. People are boycotting this reboot and they very well should. Its bad enough that the original cast members have no part in it, but instead of casting... we'll just say... James Franco, Seth Rogen, Danny McBride, and Craig Robinson, they cast 2 people I have never even heard of personally, and Kristen Wiig and Melissa Mcarthy, whos best work were supporting roles at best. If they wanted to do a reboot of the franchise, they definitely should not have gone with an all female cast. I am not sexist, I am just appalled that the producers thought that this s--- would make die hard Ghostbuster fans happy. In fact it has done the exact opposite. For anyone that is interested in this release, it will hit theaters July 22nd, 2016. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertai...ll-female-ghostbusters-cast-article-1.2094129
Jan 27, 2015 Bill Murray also would not sign on for the new ones. It's not like the new ones will change the old ones. Maybe lightning will strike and it will be good. If not, they can always do a different reboot some time in the future.

Jan 29, 2015 The Spinoff idea http://www.slashfilm.com/chaning-tatum-chris-pratt-ghostbusters-spinoff/
Jan 29, 2015 Honestly im not sexist, but this whole 'recasting' of female actors just seems like a desperate attempt to appeal to the current feminism scene and doesnt feel legitimate at all.... Can definitely see this destroying the movie, sad cos i love the ghostbusters movies... But who knows, maybe it'll be good....
Jan 29, 2015 Terrible idea. They'd be better off just making a modern day remake of the original. How can they just change the story like this? Does this mean the girls will have a male secretary? Will Slimer be a girl? Lol what a joke.
Jan 29, 2015 This might be true if women were comedic and not just comedic fodder but Joan Rivers croaked so now, no more funny broads left. All kidding aside though these arent strong comedic women theyre unfunny c---- and Paul Feig has already shown us McCarthy and Wiig arent funny onscreen with that Bridesmaids s---. This trend of well lets cater to pissed off feminists is awful
