Jan 31, 2015 i actually agree that this song is f---ing beautiful...that beat is so good i am gonna move yo thread like marshall moved my heart
Jan 31, 2015 Terrible song. Bad writing, horrible hook, slurred drugged out delivery, tacky and sappy as f---. Just because it was a serious song on Relapse and didn't have the accent doesn't mean it is good.
Jan 31, 2015 I'm trying to remember it but all I can think of is the terrible voice and delivery. But either way, if "that beat man" could fix an otherwise bad song, Relapse would be 10/10
Jan 31, 2015 I agree. The hook is a little corny, Eminem even admits that at the end of the song, but other than that it's an amazing song. Easily one of the best since his comeback. I love the content, the verses, the beat, and I especially love that sample. Fits the mood of the song perfectly. The guitar solo at the end of the song really gave me some nostalgia back to the MMLP days. That third verse >*
Jan 31, 2015 It's a little corny, but the "drugged out" delivery shows the state he was in when he wrote and recorded it. You can tell he lacks his normal enthusiasm which only adds to the atmosphere of the song.
Jan 31, 2015 Exactly. This song and Careful What You Wish For were both written and recorded in 2007 when he was still using. Wierd coincidence that in my opinion those are by far the two best songs on there. The rest of the album was done in 2008-09 when he was sober.
Jan 31, 2015 I'm kind of in the middle, don't like or hate this song. It's just okay, although it's been years since I listened to it so not sure I'd still feel the same way. I was into relapse for about 2 or 3 weeks after it came out though and this was one of the songs I played.
Jan 31, 2015 the atmosphere of the song that it adds to is of someone who can't write or rap well because they're f----- up on drugs
Jan 31, 2015 Yes, and thats an asset. The writing isn't as bad as youre leading on, and neither is the delivery. However it's darker, which works to its advantage.
