    Fair enough someone can play multiple instruments but that does not make them a better artist or make the overall finished product any better, really pisses me off when people use that stupid a--- logic.

    Kanye has 5 classics and has literally controlled the sound of the genre for the past decade. Dude can say what he wants. Beck is super talented though, kinda felt like he was a little outta line disrespecting beck.

    I love him. He just seems to be loving life lately (who wouldn't) and that is infectious. I think his antics are great.
    Just hope it doesn't affect his music.

    Naw, that's just Ye. He told a guy who plays multiple instruments and sings/writes that he needs to respect the artistry of beyonce who more than likely has several writers. :drake5:

    beck can play 14 instruments! i'd love to know which ones and in what capacity

    beyonce needed 40 writers! but just because you're credited as a writer doesn't mean you wrote every f---ing word to the song (and a good portion of her album writers were because they were featured on the songs)

    there's two sides to every argument

    My point is that Kanye took a huge L saying this about Beck of all people. If it was Miley Cyrus or Nicki Minaj or one of those s-----y manufactured artists, then Kanye would have a point. But Beck has been making great, critically acclaimed music for over 20 years. May not be for everyone, but there's no denying his talent.

    And @Fazers I've got nothing against Beyonce's album. It was Kanye who directly compared her and Beck when he said Beck needs to respect real artists and give her the award, or whatever. I just find it funny that Beyonce relies on so many other people to create her music, while Beck does the majority of the work himself. There really is no logical reason to defend Kanye on this one.

    Why would I feel bad that Kanye is a successful black man who happens to be really passionate about music? Its hard out here for anybody in the music industry especially for misunderstood Kanye and his interracial relationship

    was just saying you can't just use that as a straight up explanation for Beck to win. In this case beck is talented but the whole argument that beck plays 14 instruments thus dubbing it better is just paper thin @Griff

    Beck's album was brilliant.. Beyonce's album was GOOD. Beck's was better, end of story. Kanye's just a tool bag.

    It's more of a shot at Kanye for his rant than it is an explanation for why Beck won. Just the fact that he referred to Beck as less of an artist than Beyonce.
