100%. just give it like a few months its gonna grow on a lot of people. it took a few listens but once it clicked i just realized hes doing so much on just like the first verse alone that its gonna be endlessly replayable. the hook is like one of his most straightforward in a while but not to a fault.

my top 3 was like king troup, for my people and like drippin (if hercules doesnt count) but idk i can see lots of reasons i would place this ahead all of them

but a lot of them are completely different styles so its kinda hard to compare.

If you have to wait months a for a piece of music to click, theirs something inherently wrong with the song itself, the lyrics (while i dont listen to young thug for the lyrics) are so straightforward to the point that theres no interpretation of perceived line that can add to the enjoyment of said track due to how its structured.

honestly you'd have to be somewhat delusional to believe that King troup, for my people, or dripping are even close to the first 3 songs on Slime Season 3 , or even the plethora of tapes, and leaks that have surfaced.

what? just like i cant go from rock to country and immediately decide if i like it or not, you cant go from one distinct style of hip hop to another without letting it sit with you

especially if you dont like it.

texas love sounds like almost nothing else in thugs discog. its fine if you dont like it as much as me, or at all lol.

Except the delivery on the first verse begs for repeated listens. The way he twists his voice multiple times, and finds like 4 different flows is more than enough to add depth to the track. Yeah the lyrics themselves are definitely a little bland but there's a lot more going on beneath the surface. His execution on this track is incredible.
