Nov 4, 2015 Loved this album. Hadn't heard much drill outside of Keef before this, so was pleasantly surprised. Solid emcee, beat selection was flames, well rounded project. 8/10.
Nov 16, 2015 All I wanted was @Charlie Strangelove to pour his heart out about g herbo and I killed the topic on accident again
Jan 6, 2016 @BigCountry feels like a big favor asking this but I'm willing to make this a more active thing if your willing to let me take over? I'd like to think I have a good grasp of the genre and even with limited activity I'd still try to keep this ongoing.
Jan 6, 2016 Do it! I'd still like to contribute when I can but I'm super down for you to take over for the time being. Maybe we could have a few people switch off to make sure it stays active.
Jan 6, 2016 Thats an even better idea, have like a rotation of users to pick an album for discussion every now and then. I know my buddy @Ordinary Joel is always down for these activities.
Jan 6, 2016 I'd give fazoland an 8.6. What's always amazed me is how well herb, as a teenager, can portray his pain/depression without it sounding melodramatic. He's far too young to have had this much heartbreak but he sounds mature and is mature. You'd have to be in that situation. Based upon 5 ratings, SectionEighty gives Welcome to Fazoland an 8.4. Next up... [whatever Fire Squad chooses]
Jan 6, 2016 Join RateThisAlbum if you would like to be tagged each round and let me know if you want me to stop tagging you altogether, as I'll still tag people for a few rounds until the group fills up. Thanks! For this time around we'll discuss: Watch The Throne By Jay-Z & Kanye West I've seen that this one tends to divide a lot of opinions considering the two biggest rappers decided to link up together for a full-length LP. Feel free to post your ratings (preferably in bold) and a blurb or summary of the project. @RateThisAlbum
Jan 6, 2016 Oooooooooh nice I actually downloaded this album a few months back so I'll give it a spin and give my thoughts on it soon.
Jan 6, 2016 7 Kinda weird that you chose this album cause earlier today I was re-listening to some of the tracks that never clicked with me. Still don't enjoy those songs I initially disliked (Lift Off, New Day, That's My b----, Welcome To The Jungle, and Primetime). The rest of the songs are really solid imo. I know many people think of this album very highly but for me, it's a good album with solid replay-ability.
Jan 6, 2016 most the tracks you listed are definitely weak and lack srs replay value but the highs are just too strong i'm obligated to give this an 8 edit: Ye's verse on new day & that's my b---- are incredible tho
Jan 6, 2016 I'll give it another listen. And I was really close to giving it a 7.5. I agree with you 100% that the highs are really strong.
