Jun 8, 2016 maybe something from their heyday in the early 00's. Beg for mercy, Hunger for More, etc.
Jun 9, 2016 Luca Brasi 2 is a great introduction to Gates, but I think its a step below the likes of Islah, Stranger Than Fiction, and the original Luca Brasi. Still a good album in its own right, however. 7.7

Jun 9, 2016 Great work on this so far @BigCountry 7.5/10 Love this album but it's overly long. Nostalgia definitely keeps me loving this, so many catchy songs. But towards the end it feels like it should have been only like 15 tracks. Also I was bummed when I bought the deluxe edition that had a music video for each song and they were all low-budget videos (as far as I remember). However the first half of the album is I still remember hearing it blaring out of a guy's car in the Wendy's drive-thru the week it came out, when I worked there.. and I was like hey I have that cd and it was bumpin' The Hate It or Love It remix is still a fave of mine. Was it the only song with all 5 G-Unit members (at the time) on it?
Jun 9, 2016 Gonna have to relisten to Massacre before I give a rating. Surprised to see such a low rating for Tha Tour pt 1.
Jun 9, 2016 That was pre B6/slime season/etc so you gotta remember a lot of people weren't on board yet. I think I only gave it a 7 cuz that was before I was super into thug and was just a casual fan of the tape. i was actually thinking about doing RG again to see how it pans out this time now that Thug has a lot more fans. It would jump up 2ish pts for me prolly.
Jun 9, 2016 I don't think I participated when you originally did it. I probably would have given it around a 9 as you said.
Jun 9, 2016 classic album, some of his best songs on here (gatman and robbin, candy shop, Disco Inferno, Get in my car) has a little bit of filler so its not the best front to back listen, but still a great project. 8/10
Jun 9, 2016 Man... The Massacre is such a strange album to me. It undoubtedly features some of 50's best worst. Towards the end of the album, there were a few bad tracks, but the first half is so good. Overall, the filler takes the albums average down slightly below GRODT, but the high points blow those of its predecessor out the water. This a classic: 1. "Intro" 2. "In My Hood" 3. "This Is 50" 4. "I'm Supposed to Die Tonight" 5. "Piggy Bank" 6. "Gatman and Robbin'" (featuring Eminem) 7. "Outta Control" 8. "Get in My Car" 9. "Ski Mask Way" 10. "A Baltimore Love Thing" 11. "Ryder Music" 12. "Gunz Come Out" 13. "Position of Power" 14. "I Don't Need 'Em" 15. "Hate It or Love It (G-Unit Remix)" As it stands though, I'd give the album 7.5
Jun 9, 2016 7.5/10. At first i wanted to give it an 8 or even higher but its just too long. Cut it down to 15/16 songs and its another story. Still, so many all-time classics on this album. Still bump it from time to time.
Jun 9, 2016 8.5. I loved it when I was little. Was interesting to see Ems production overtake most of Dres. Some of his biggest hits and best work is on this album
Jun 9, 2016 for me personally its like a 9/10, i know it got fillers and is a really long album but tracks like position of power, disco inferno, just a lil bit etc are really good and i think this was the first album i bought
Jun 9, 2016 i'll just be repeating a lot of what's already been said but there's a ton of songs on this album i can revisit. it's always had some good replay value for me with stuff like Candy Shop (one of my all time favorite 50 tracks), Just A Lil Bit (actually like this more than Candy Shop), Disco Inferno, Get In My Car etc. it's one of my favorite gangster rap albums, and a favorite of 50s discog
