Jun 18, 2016 I'd rate My Krazy Life a 9/10. It's for sure a West coast blassic. I don't understand the DJ Mustard hate. The production goes hard, and YG's lyrics didn't disappoint. I was disappointed by the lack of a Mustard beat on Still Brazy.
Jun 19, 2016 An easy 9/10 When I first got into YG it was because his song My n----- was just about on every Vine video at the time, it was just before the album came out so I was pretty hyped about. And it was really good, so many songs topped My n-----. He had big name features and that didn't really take the spotlight away from him. There was a great concept all the way through and I still remember the first time I listened to I Just Wanna Party...
Jun 19, 2016 Just listened to this album. It's lit; everything about it is a more gritty GKMC and well, it feels like I've been transported to the 90's, will write a full review later. Anyways. 10 10 10 10 10 out of 10.
Jun 19, 2016 8.7, one of the best albums of this decade with many timeless classics like BPT, Bicken Back , etc.
Jun 19, 2016 7/10 One of MKL's singles is only a hit because of Vine, and the other one is entirely carried by Drizzy. The album as a whole is entirely carried by Dj Mustard, can't remember anything yg said
Jun 19, 2016 Bro I stood up for you other places, but if you bring this schtick into this thread one more time I'm banning you from it forever. I'm happy to have you contribute to it like when you rated MKL but this back and forth s--- isn't gonna fly here.
Jun 19, 2016 I listened to this in full for the first time in probably six months a few weeks ago and holy s--- I'd forgotten just how good it was. For some reason I'd thought part of the reason I held this album in such high regard was due to nostalgia (came out my last quarter of college), but nope, it really is that good. One of the most cohesive/best front-to-back listens of the decade so far and YG & Mustard compliment each other perfectly. It gets docked a bit for Me & My b----/Do It To Ya slowing it down in the middle, though the latter also gets points for the "screaming out my government name" line. 8.7/10
Jun 19, 2016 Based upon 26 ratings, SXN80 underrates My Krazy Life at a 7.9 and it's all @MTY's fault. @RateThisAlbum To take it back to one of MKL's obvious influences... [6/19/16] Dr. Dre - The Chronic [1992]
Jun 19, 2016 At one point I really disliked this album, and said Compton was better One of the best albums ever released. Though I don't listen to it as much nowadays, I've had so many good times with it. 9.5/10 The only complaint I have is that one line. You know what it is.
Jun 19, 2016 further explanation plz. Why? Also a question for everyone to think about for this album: is it actually that good, or is it just extremely influential?
Jun 19, 2016 That line isn't that great either, but I was talking about the slipping line. It's both.
Jun 19, 2016 Gonna relisten tomorrow and post a rating. I love it, but it has been too long since I heard it to come up with an accurate score right now. Off topic but I still think Compton is great and underrated by a lot on here
Jun 19, 2016 Both. Plus Let Me Ride and Nuthin But a G Thang are classic summertime records, all the skits are classic, Dre Day was ether, b------s aint s--- one of the most influential records of the 90s and genius, lil ghetto n----- inspirational af, and um....DEEEEZ NUTZ
