ahhhh that definitely makes sense then. As yall probably know I love roadtrips so I also love games that try to recreate areas of the USA so that's why I found Far Cry 5's setting so cool cuz you don't really see Montana represented in games.

Maybe not way better than 4 cuz they're both not great lol but I remember 4 just feeling like a worse version of 3. Been awhile since I've played it though. I really just give 5 more points for having a unique setting.

Didn’t play new dawn due to my disdain for 5. Also, I highly recommend checking out 4.

Horizon Zero Dawn, know I’m in the minority with that one but it just never connected with me like that. Found it kinda shallow and generic.

I’ve had Skyrim remastered on my PS4 for so long. I’ve put some hours in and tried to get immersed but couldn’t for some reason

if you loved 3, New Vegas will blow your mind. It's like a Batman Begins vs The Dark Knight jump in quality. It's one of the best designed games OAT. Every choice you make is persistent and affects how the entire world interacts with you. You have much more choice than the false choice system you get in 3. and the gameplay is much more balanced and rewarding.

    ps4 + switch

I loved Fallout 3 but it was my first Fallout game (and first RPG of that complexity). Only got to play a bit of New Vegas so I def want a chance to play that some day.

Their engine is perfect for a 007 game! Can't wait to see what they do.
I could see how someone going from 3-4 would be disappointed. 4 was the first FC game I did a full playthrough of so I tend to be a bit biased but yeah 3 is definitely better.

Yeah, very disappointing especially cause of the locale for me. They took the great potential of Boston and made a s-----y game. But I still got some mild enjoyment from it more than say, any far cry games. Nothing will ever compare to New Vegas tho, shoutout @skip

Yes! The game is what Dead Island was supposed to be. Really nailed the feeling of being alone in a city full of zombies. Not to mention that they actually make "don't be outside at night" mean something. Not a groundbreaking game by any means but if you like zombie games with some excitement then I'd recommend it.

Yeah definitely do. It's basically a parkour game so climbing, running and fast combat is the main factor of the game. The scenario is pretty dope too. In the middle of the city is a large tower where the human survivors live. From there you get missions to branch out into the surrounding city and do specific tasks. In the nighttime the zombies are way more aggressive and a more ruthless and faster species will appear, so doing missions during night is f---ing scary (atleast at the beginning). There is also a crafting system to build some crazy weapons, so you will get OP eventually at normal difficulty.

5's location was cool, and the idea of the story was great, but as far as the actual execution, 4 had a way better story. Agreed on GOW!

and yeah, Watch Dogs is just super dull. You can tell they tried really hard to make it a "modern day AC with tech" but that type of gameplay would be way better suited for linear storylines. Honestly, I think open levels would have been better, ala the Hitman trilogy. One small setting fleshed out with a ton of ways to approach and lots of detail would be a great hacking game.

Thought 5 was way better than 4 but nowhere near as good as 3. At least the setting in 5 was cool. Definitely one of those games that's open world for no reason. 3 had a good balance of letting you explore but was a pretty linear story. God of War 2018 did a good job with that too.

Bought this on sale for like $10 over the summer but I very much agree so far, seems like another case of a game that is open world for no reason. I only played like an hour of it but it was really dull and I've yet to be able to make myself go back to it.
