Mar 13, 2015I'd rather listen to Deja Vu, My Mom, and Hello than pretty much anything else post-hiatus.

h--- yeah. Flow was awesome. Dre production was great. Was lyrically great. Content was iffy. Accents were ehh but still listenable.
Relapse is forever underrated. My favourite post comeback eminem album.ToPimpALegend, Marshall Bruce Mathers 3, FlawlessT and 4 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Diabetic waffles, hard tacos, bodies waddling, wine and Captain Crunch, pang pong with his own dang dong, peeing on Rihanna, felching, A1 sauce, dancing in red pohnties...no idea how an adult could consider this good lyrical content (maybe you're not an adult)(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Hello is a great song, at least I've always thought so. And relapse has this sort of weird pretty bad/pretty good feel to it. I would take Relapse over MMLP2 any day -

I made a post about this a while back and everyone called me nutslol. I think the album has aged so well.. The more I listen the more it feels like that was the last time we heard Eminem sound the way HE wanted to sound. Not just going off fan feedback. The flows are literally 11/10, and I agree the accent works well on the second visitation of the album. It adds to the theme, which was nice to have rather than just scatter brained songs. The technical skill is off the chart. Only issue I can really think of are a few bad songs dragging it down, but I think if it had two or three more decent to good songs peoples views of that album would've changed drastically. Also the timing was off. I feel like if he would've released recovery then relapse people would've appreciated each more

The Relapse era conjured one of his best songs of all time. The questionable reliance on horror fantasies and accents soured some tracks but not all, and with flawless production and rhyming throughout, I think Relapse could have been a formidable album with better track selection.
Relapse as it is... it's decent enough, though your enjoyment will depend on your tolerance of its flaws.Webber, FlawlessT, shadyslim555 and 2 others like this. -

Guess I'll talk about it a lil bit..
The accent is probably the best part to be honest.
He literally bent words in such a way with that accent pronounciation that it flows like a f---in computer made it up or some s---.
Dude really knows rap so much that he came up with a way to pronounce words in such a way that it makes the technically of the raps GOAT.
It is the best technical rap album ever made, s---'s leagues ahead of its time in terms of technical flows.
I remember I hated it just like everyone else when it came out but I couldn't comprehend what I was hearing.
s--- has aged better than any other post album.
It's just really pleasing to the ears.

Agreed, Relapse is awesome. At first I hated the accent, now it doesn't bother me..those flows are untouchable though.
Crack a Bottle is the worst eminem song of all time. I'd take Fack and Wee Wee on repeat for a month over listening to that song one more time in my life.FlawlessT, gunz, Mr Iglesias and 1 other person like this. -

Best post-drug Eminem album by far in my opinion. At the end of the day it's something different and creative, albeit with a few horrible tracks but some really great ones (Deja Vu, My Mom). Rhyme schemes and flow are just downright impressive. Not a classic, but a cool novelty project that sits apart from the rest of his discography and it's interesting to look at how it ties into his mind state and career during this period. Much more palatable than listening to the awkward forced punch line screaming Marshall we've come to listen to since then. Replace Insane, Underground, Crack a Bottle, and Old Time's Sake with Elevator, My Darling, Drop the Bomb On Em and CWYWF and you've got a d--- solid album, imo.gunz, FlawlessT, shadyslim555 and 1 other person like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Relapse is great because it's suppose to be dark and not light hearted like the real slim shady.
He returns to the rap game officially but lets you know he's been through some s--- and the album reflects that. I like how dark it is.
It's not "Yay Eminem is back!!" it's "woh.. Eminem is.. back?" kinda startling.
He actually wanted to rap again and chose exactly what he wanted. No one forced him to do anything.
Unlike Recovery and MMLP2 which has corporate influence, Relapse is him at his natural.
Yes there is a huge wasted potential but overall it's so nice. So nice. His freestyles with Tim Westwood are my favorite songs by him.Last edited: Mar 13, 2015FlawlessT, shadyslim555, Mr Iglesias and 1 other person like this. -

Dre's production is an AMAZING on this album. I feel like this was the last true Slim Shady esque album. At this point in his career i wouldn't be pissed if he went back to that style.
