Yelawolf's April Onslaught (4 New Albums in April)

    pros:
    -he's weirdly a decent singer sometimes?
    -always in for rappers who talk about mtn dew #whiteculture
    -he tackled some good production I wasn't expecting
    -screw vocals
    -when he raps like a member of hillbilly outkast
    -occasionally the hillbilly stuff is funny
    -I respect the range on here—contemporary pop-country, country rap, screw, rap-rock, rappity rap/m--- rap, trap, etc

    cons:
    -when he sounds like contemporary contemporary pop-country radio.
    -too much hillbilly s---. I know that's his schtick but I don't wanna feel like I'm listening to White Trash Party 14 times in a row
    -though as I said I respect the range...not all of it works for me. I can see what he was going for, but its identity is sort of lost in the shuffle imo
    -related to the above—I don't think he's a good enough singer to pull off as much singing as he did
    -Mind you, I've only listened to this once and haven't really looked over the lyrics...but I just do not give a s--- about yelawolf's perspective at all unless it's about like the best mtn dew flavors

    So, overall I can understand why this appeals to some people, but it's not my thing. The last Yelawolf album I listened to was Love Story and though it's been a long time since I've heard that, I feel like Mud Mouth is a slightly more refined version of that. I think he could cut this album down by another 15-20 minutes tho to trim the fat.

    Best songs: mud mouth, oh no, dope

    Worst songs: hillbilly einstein, conoco, rocks at your window

    Respect for giving it a go though man. Did I ever think I'd be enjoying an artist or album with mostly country vibes? h--- no. But I dunno, it just seems to work for me. It just sounds clean and a break from the norm.

    Used to be a bad mouth running round the house sayin' words that I shouldn't and I got it from my folks
    If I got caught, I would end up in my room sit down 30 minutes with a mouth full of soap
    Put it all on paper, go to sleep, and then I wake up with the same bad mouth I was sent to bed for

    also rumours could be a deluxe. Doubt but that’s what comments said. I’d be all the way in for box Chevy 8
    He did say he did a score for the movie maybe that’s why songs on the Tracklist changed. Also remember Yela wasn’t even gonna release Mudmouth on streaming originally so maybe there’s more songs in the movie.

    Guys I want to be at this session but I got no sleep trying to figure out how to resolve a refund for an app with Apple. I’m gonna keep it but now I have to wait to talk to agent. Will keep you all posted.

    anyone else notice the snare on one fo the songs at the start of the album is mixed really loudly like almost hurts my ears i had to turn my headphoens down a bit great song tho
