    Or it's regional slang. Lil Herb named himself that because in Chicago "herb" doesn't refer to a lame like it does elsewhere. Drugs especially are known to have lots of aliases which can overlap. It's the reason your parents might refer to weed as "dope" despite that presently being associated with harder drugs like heroin.
