    For anyone who uses (even if it's only occasional), I beg you to please test your s---. Fent test strips cost about $2 a pop and they could save you or your friends' lives.

    I know you mean well but as has been shown by the failed war on drugs/failed abstinence-only education/addiction science/etc that legality or being scolded doesn't help much. At the end of the day it's people's own choice whether or not they want to use drugs but if they choose to do so I just want them to do it as safely as possible.

    the language needed to explain why drug abuse is bad to young people is suspiciously absent from English. it all comes off so clinical and boring. they had a seminar thing at an assembly during orientation day my first year teaching and by the end of it i wanted to snort ketamine in the parking lot.

    they need to just legalize all drugs. If you could get coke from a store like you can alcohol & weed you wouldn’t have to worry about what it’s cut with.

    Oh sure, altough I don't believe its always a 100% choice. Obviously u do it yourself but people in a f----- up situation or being forced somehow to use it is terrible and then they get addicted and its too late for some... but yeah of course better use it in the safest way possible if u do!

    All I'm saying is if u do make the choice ur own, I would tell anyone to not do it because the few people I know using it or used it, they f----- up their life man. And in a way that they had a good life before, and it went to s--- after. Seeing that from the sidelines is frustrating as f--- even if the people involved aren't even close to me you know?

    Oh for sure, having a predisposition to addiction plays a big part, there’s no denying that. I just meant that I’ve found the best way to handle friends drug use is not to judge or tell them you disapprove because you want them to be honest and open with you. People doing drugs alone/in secret is often the worst case scenario because people can OD and there’s no one around to help. You want to be supportive because then when they’re ready to quit they will feel like the have someone in their corner they can count on to help and be there for them. Cuz a lot of times people want to quit but don’t know how to take the first step.

    30 minutes plus without oxygen is a death sentence. Love DMX but praying ain't gonna do s--- in is case. There's zero changes.

    Oh yeah I 100% agree and I realize now we're talking about 2 different things. I meant advising or 'begging' someone not to do it as in, someone who's gonna do it or wants to try it. Not someone who already uses it, total different situation and different way to handle of course.

    There's no talking someone out of doing drugs. They'll only change when they want to change.

    Judging them or constantly reminding them of how bad it is will only make them want to avoid you because every addict knows it's bad for them and don't like being reminded of it.

    It's sad but most people have to hit rock bottom before they get the motivation to quit. Trying to force them will do no good . They'll just relapse because they weren't ready yet.

    Best way to help is probably just offering them the tools to quit or just letting them know that the help is there if they ever want to quit.

    I fully believe in this. If anyone really wants to, I'd recommend a book by Bel Elton called High Society. He's a comedian but it doesn't come across as a comedy at all. Just highlights multiple different case studies of how certain situations would have had different outcomes of all drugs were legal. A one sided story but it's an eye opener in some cases.
