Mar 20, 2015 - The piano on "For Free?", and the whole song in general - "Institutionalized", esp. Snoop's part - the "King Kunta" chorus - the very first beat on "Hood Politics", I wish it kept that beat the whole song
Mar 20, 2015 it almost felt like the poem was a conclusion to Pacs legacy and letting him rest finally while the reigns are being taken properly. Took Kendrick a minute to realize Pac rested in peace. But he understood finally Well that is how it felt to me.
Mar 20, 2015 Pac's legacy has been torn and tarnished ever since his death with crappy unreleased verses and even crappier rappers comparing themselves to him, but i feel like his legacy can finally be put to rest accordingly with this interview sample....
Mar 20, 2015 Seriously i like the whole thing... never ever happened before Favorite moment: "Ain’t nothin' new but a flow of new DemoCrips and ReBloodlicans Red state versus a blue state, which one you governin’?"
Mar 20, 2015 The change up in the middle of "u" is my favourite. The sounds, the faint voices, the music... it's beautifully done.
Mar 20, 2015 i love the beat switches. the beat switch on U is crazy along with the beat switch on Institutionalized. the live version of i with the acapella verse at the end is also one of my favorites.
Mar 20, 2015 Wesley's theory - George Clinton's intro - Thundercat hook - "When I get signed homie I'mma buy a strap Straight from the CIA, said it on my life Take a few M-16s to the hood Pass em all out on the block, what's good?" - 2nd verse For Free? - "f--- your sources, all distortion if you f--- it's more abortion More divorce courts and portion My check with less endorsement left me dormant Dusted doomed disgusted forced with f--- you think is in more s---? Porcelain pipes pressure, bust 'em twice Choice is devastated, decapitated the horseman Oh America, you bad b----, I picked cotton that made you rich Now my d-ck ain't free" King Kunta - Hook - When the guitar kicks in - " I can dig rapping, but a rapper with a ghost writer? What the f--- happened? I swore I wouldn't tell But most of y'all share bar" Institutionalized - Snoop dogg's bridge and outro - Zoom zoom zoom zoom zoom U - When the 2nd verse start and the beat kicks in Alright - n----- we goin be alright! Hood politics - Hook - "Ain’t nothin new but a flow of new DemoCrips and ReBloodlicans Red state versus a blue state which one you governin?" - "Critics want to mention that they miss when hip hop was rappin MFer if you did, then Killer Mike be platinum" The Blacker the Berry - "I'm the biggest hypocrite of 2015" - 3rd verse You ain't gotta lie - 2nd verse i - Accapella verse Mortal man - Kendrick telling the poem - Kendrick interviewing 2pac In some of the song I don't real have a favorite moment. Just so you dont think I dislike those song that I didn't mention. Also there is lots of progession and changes in the beats that I couldn't mention them all for my favorite moments.
Mar 20, 2015 The last 20 seconds of U is my favorite thing on this album. Right when he says "I'm f----- up, but i aint as f----- up as you." That last sax loop change Alright is great too. One of those songs that gets a steady rotation when u got that aux.
