Apr 13, 2021 Historically police departments have discriminated against applicants with high IQs. Some police departments would include IQ tests in their entrance exams and if an applicant scored above average intelligence they would be automatically disqualified.
Apr 13, 2021 When's the last shooting we have seen from someone standing still? My chances of survival are much higher than someone who moves.
Apr 13, 2021 People that try to drive discussion away from very serious topics they're not interested in instead of having the courtesy to not involve themselves, are childish and likely live very unfulfilling lives. Coupling that with the little information I've seen you post and your reaction to me ignoring a few of your posts, I safely assume I'm right.
Apr 13, 2021 After reading more to the story it's just so tragic. The system clearly is not working. I can't help but have sympathy for the officer as well.. as the system failed her too with poor training.
Apr 13, 2021 She was on the force for 26 years. Pretty sure she had 1,000s of hours of training at that point.
Apr 13, 2021 Yeah... a close to... not quite genius wanted to be a cop and he was denied the job on the basis of being too smart. He sued the whole system and the courts decided in favor of smart people being systematically discriminated against for employment as police officers. https://www.google.com/amp/s/abcnews.go.com/amp/US/court-oks-barring-high-iqs-cops/story?id=95836
Apr 13, 2021 Not a death, but did you see the video the other day where they pulled over an active duty army lieutenant in fatigues...look how they were treating that guy and how scared he was. At the beginning of the video he says “honestly I’m scared” and the cop says “yeah, you should be.” You know somethings f----- when members of our own military are afraid of being murdered by cops. On my phone so not sure if this is the full video but it’s out there: https://www.cnn.com/2021/04/11/us/windsor-virginia-police-stop-army-lieutenant-lawsuit/index.html
Apr 13, 2021 Right, but it's gonna take you a lot more force and a greater deal of evidence to explain how I was killed by just complying and/or standing still.
Apr 13, 2021 You mean like when they murdered Eric Garner who was fighting back from being choked to death saying “I can’t breathe” over and over? All over selling loosie cigarettes no less
Apr 13, 2021 Yeah I been following that situation too. That situation was escalating because he wasn't complying. I was told the cop couldn't see his temporary plates that's why he stopped him. It could of been way worse for that Lt. if he had resisted or did anything else to agitate those on edge cops. Their level of force was completely unnecessary. But he's alive and now he can file a lawsuit on them (in which I think he did already).
Apr 13, 2021 My original question was when's the last time have we seen someone killed standing still. Eric was resisting prior to being put on the ground and fighting back. I don't condone his death, i'm just talking about things that led up to those cops reacting the way they did.
Apr 13, 2021 Not resisting isnt hard. I've done it twice and I was scared as s---. You guys know how bad my anxiety is.
