Mar 23, 2015 it's foolish to assume that there has been a drought in hip hop, you're probably not looking in the right places, or sticking to the artists that you like that being said, this year is shaping up to be very special... we're only three months in, and we've already got good-great projects from joey bada$$, lupe fiasco, action bronson, earl sweatshirt, big sean & drake from a mainstream perspective, and of course an album which is already being hailed as the best project of the decade by some in to p---- a butterfly. then also you have new material from gfk, fashawn, cannibal ox & freddie gibbs as well. it seems like this year was a perfect storm, everything lined up and everyone is planning to release a project. kanye's album should be coming soon, mac miller has been working on multiple projects since last year, then you've got chance the rapper, a$ap rocky, travis scott, nas, joe budden, jay electronica, pusha t, and a bunch of others who could be releasing projects this year edit: as for best hip hop years, i like 06-07, 04, 10
Mar 23, 2015 I genuinely meant music but seeing as people here are generally rap fans I thought I should put an emphasis on rap. New Radiohead, RHCP and Tame Impala come out this year too.

Mar 23, 2015 Just finished listening to Mr Wonderful ...just added to the list of really good-great albums to drop this year. So many more to come out still. Interested to see if these albums will still be at the top of my list at the end of the year.
Mar 23, 2015 The only people who can really make that case are the ones who know of the best projects for every year from 2000 to the present. If your scope is only the past 5 years, then you can't really say that 2015 is the best year of the 2000's.
