Mar 27, 2015 I think Wesley's Theory is better, and that's a 10 for me, so King Kunta was a bit lower, but yeah -- great song. Not what people were expecting AT ALL eitheR Where's everyone else? Lol, is everyone still asleep??
Mar 27, 2015 I see this one having the most mainstream success out of the album just because of how infectious it sounds. I could see people just yelling out randomly "king kunta!". It wasnt what i was expecting at first. So it kind of threw me off and didnt like it, but this ones probably grown on me the most out of anything on here. The first three tracks are my favorite stretch on the album atm. Id give it a 9.5/10
Mar 27, 2015 Yeah "Kunta!" part of the hook is just made to have great mainstream appeal...and my initial reaction was kind of like yours. I was nodding along but I was like the f--- is going on...and then the drop in the middle happened. my favorite stretch is u alright for sale momma hood politics

Mar 27, 2015 and i don't think i rated for free on here, but id probably give that one a 7.5. so, so far i have: wesley's theory - 9 for free - 7.5 king kunta - 9.5 I'm gonna rate these myself as you guys go along. i still haven't give the album a "rating" for myself. I predict it'll be like 8.5 overall tho
Mar 27, 2015 Also, suggestion... could you put your write ups for each track on the op. that way it'll be easy if we want to look back at these sometime in the future, they'll be listed nicely for us. maybe a page number too where it was originally posted to check other people's opinions on it?
Mar 27, 2015 Still need to listen again, didn't have time.. King Kunta is great though, like his energy and the beat is great. I'm happy I didn't download it when it leaked so it doesn't get old quicker than the rest of the album. Curious how you guys will rate/review These Walls, You aint gotta lie and How Much a Dollar cost, they were my top 3 after the last time I listened (which was almost a week a go)

Mar 27, 2015 i was surprised swimming pools did as well as it did as a single. It's catchy but it's not really an upbeat song. it'll be interesting to see the reaction to king kunta, since it sounds so different than anything out there right now. I could see it being a fun summer song tho
