Eminem Best Posts: Do you guys actually think that Fine Line and Guts over Fear are good songs?

    ^ How so / what part of the beat? Just wondering, because Eminem's said before (actually said in 2002 before the fall-off) that "Sing For The Moment" was really important to him in that he'd always dreamed about sampling Aerosmith "Dream On" once he made it big. SFTM was actually the first song Eminem wrote and recorded for TES in late 2000 / early '01 (source: xxl interview may '02) #InOtherRandomNews cheah

    Now here comes the Shady XV hate right on schedule. Could've sworn most people loved it when it first came out. Psychopath Killer, Vegas, Fine Line, Twisted, Right For Me, and Detroit Vs Everybody were all great. I admit Guts Over Fear hasn't aged well for me though. This project is still a big improvement over MMLP2.

    That's a fair enough statememt, and maybe nearer to the truth without any biased.

    I can accept that it aint groundbreaking, em used some out of this world tongue twisting flows and flexed his technical muscles here, but other than that... nothing revolutionary/game changing.

    A few gems, but fair enough....Probably wont be bumping shady XV in a decades time with my kids on my lap.

    Seriously??

    To me he easily had the best verse, even though everyone rides Seans corny punches. The funny s--- was if em was using the same punches...everyone would be crying about how s--- it was.

    You can play Fine Line & then play a song off of TES & it wouldn't seem out of place, it's that good.

    Guts Over Fear is a great track, no problems here, just the title is still a little corny to me

    Fine Line is easily the best song on the album, in my opinion anyway. I love the track, regardless of what others may think of it. Everybody has their own opinions

    Fine Line, GOF and Vegas are good. everything else was very forgettable (obviously not counting LY demo). and it's such a shame that em didn't put Right for Me to better use. some solid verses to go with that amazing beat and hook could have made his best song in years

    I mean to me the whole album was basically a disappointment. The choppy flows, yelling, corny puns were not anything to get excited over and hope for him to do more of the same. Again that is just me, I would like to hear what you guys have to say.
