May 11, 2021Hey y'all! I'm an ancient user at this point (Am I REALLY though? It doesn't feel THAT long). Anyways, since that time (2017), I've been enrolled in college (s--- I'm about to be a junior so like, I'm almost out) and I've been in and out of recording studios trying to create something I actually want to listen to. Music has always been the most important part of my life, it's the reason I originally came to this forum. Now you're probably thinking to yourself: "Alright, enough of the pseudo-inspirational bullsh*t, where's the song?"
Well here you go, I called it Iridescent:
The reason I left originally was I truly getting bored of hip hop and was moving into other genres. I didn't move on to new forums, I just kind of shelved that part of my life. I was listening to everything from modern psych rock to 90's house to 60's folk to A LOT of indie music and I finally felt fulfilled listening to and experimenting with the sounds that all of these genres had. This song is not my magnum opus but any stretch of the imagination (I don't believe in magnum opus's because it makes you more complacent with settling for something easy rather than challenging yourself) but it's a cool song. My mom likes it, my girlfriend likes it, my co-workers like it, and I sort of like it (once you hear a song 1000 time while mixing, the luster dies out pretty quick)
