Aug 24, 2015 I was expecting some knock off Walking Dead, but so far it isn't. I'm liking this LA setting.
Aug 24, 2015 First two seasons of TWD were almost cinematic, show has really fallen off.. at least for me it has
Aug 26, 2015 the family dynamic is soooooooooo cliche and uninspired. busy and ecstatic mom rushing around a messy house, picking up clothes for the wash. mom knocks on the bathroom door and opens it just as teenage daughter is wrapping herself in a towel. mom says she has 5 minutes. teenage daughter replies "did i say come in?" and slams the door shut. mom gets yells not to slam the door, continues on her path of picking up clothes as she makes her way through the house. in the kitchen, handy man step dad is visible from the legs down, his upper body working under the kitchen sink fixing a leak. he coincidentally happens to finish it just as mom comes down and starts to do the laundry. the two share some flirty banter back in forth before embracing in each others arms, kissing and gazing into each others eyes. the phone rings and interrupts the passionate moment. mom and step-dad exchange a look of worry as the tension rises. step-daughter walks out slowly in her towel, adding to the tension. other notes: step daughter hates step dad. white step daughter is dating a black man who does graffiti. step dad has a prior family that does not like him, even though he does what he can to remain in contact with them mom is a school guidance counsellor yet can't see thru her own son's addiction, thus enabling him. the whole addict/mentally ill guy who knows the truth but nobody will believe him s--- is played out too.
