Dec 8, 2015 B Bro...look, I respect you and I want to respect your opinions. But no one will be talking about SBTH the way they did Yeezus. Yeezus was cold, calculated and very well put together musically. This album sounds like me at 12, with a guitar, writing the first thing that popped into my head and playing with garageband. This album is being hated by EVERYONE except his stans. We want to like Cudi, but this bs will not be excused.
Dec 8, 2015 Yeezus was a new sound. Tinged by grime yeah, but overall new. What cudis doing isn't new, it's only new to people who exclusively listen to rap. What cudis doing is something along the lines of pop punk or grunge, and it technically fails at both. Now I'm not just hopping on the hate train, I genuinely loved Confused, and while I haven't given this album a proper spin I plan on doing so because I tend to like cudis work even when it doesn't meet the criteria for "good". It's ok to like things that are bad. It really is. But it's not ok to get defensive over something that's bad and pretend it's more than it is. It's something bad that appeals to you, luke, and others. That's it. Enjoy it and discuss it with like minded individuals instead of pretending you're some advanced being for liking what constitutes as experimenting from the mind of a narrow visioned rap fan.
