Apr 5, 2015 Thanks man..I think its a little bit me getting better, but also the fact that I'm just trying different styles. My biggest problem is that I just don't have a consistant sound yet, and don't really know how to go about developing one tbh
Apr 5, 2015 but listeners need something to latch on to...and i dont have a readily accessible voice or anything so how much i try to switch it up could just be hurting me but then again my reasoning is that tim only 20 hahah, I've never even worked with a producer irl or with any real equipment so i got years to improve im just thinkin out loud haha
Apr 5, 2015 think im gonna have to finally buy a new interface which pisses me off but oh well i thought this was ok, your flow is a lot better on the Drive Slow sampled song, honestly i thought you rapped too slow to really make it work here but you def keep improving and i probably say that because i never rap slow, but it feels like you were stretching out words too much
Apr 5, 2015 Yeah Ive been listening to the new earl a lot, and felt like this would be something he'd fit well on. so i tried to channel his drawl lol I should've tried to switch it up more though, you're right at least this is gonna be a good contrast to this beast im about to press submit on now (you're bout to get a mention m8 fam brodie)
Apr 5, 2015 I imagine it's quite a bit different as it's production, and not vocals/lyrics, but I feel you on this, and I know it'll come to you eventually. It's just gonna take a lot of time and a lot of working at it to see what fits you and works and what you can really pull off. It's taken me a couple years now, just until this last EP of mine to get to a point where I finally feel like I've nailed down a sound for myself, or at least a real direction to go in and continue to grow from. And I'd say you're definitely improving rapidly. My only real complaint I think I have is that sometimes I don't like the effects you throw on the vocals, but other than that, it's generally
