Apr 7, 2015 well even if you don't agree with her, it's def not a far-fetched claim em was an incredible lyricist back in the day
Apr 7, 2015 She stated Eminem is a better lyricist than Biggie. Having listened to both artist thoroughly, my opinion is that she is correct. I agree that Eminem is simply better at writing lyrics than Biggie and at this point, any other artist I have listened to. If stating my opinion makes me dumb, well than I guess I'm dumb.
Apr 7, 2015 Yo Eminem killed Biggie on his own s--- when he started rhyming cannibals and animals having sex with em and s---. One of the deepest stories I ever heard tbh. Got me through some rough s--- growin up when I had Lions in my pocket but I was lyin
Apr 7, 2015 When I said at this point, I meant that I have yet to hear another artist that is a better lyricist than Eminem. Again, in my opinion.
Apr 7, 2015 What makes someone a better lyricist to you? Because biggies catalogue is full of better storytelling than anything Eminem's done in about 12 years. And biggie was in his early 20s when he did, while Eminem, in his prime, was already almost 30 (not the ages matter, it's just an impressive tidbit on its own)
Apr 7, 2015 If we're going straight by their technical ability to put words together, I really don't believe it's much of a debate. The way Em is able to combine and create mufti-syllable rhymes and keep the same rhyme scheme throughout a song like a poet is really incredible. If you're going by story telling than I think it's all a matter of who you relate to better. I personally don't relate to many of Biggie's stories about selling drugs, his daughters, and what have you. However, I can relate to Em's relationship problems and many more. It's a hard to explain concept when a person can grasp an artist's music.
Apr 7, 2015 G Rap qoute: Biggie was one of the best rappers to me but I never put him on the lyricist
Apr 7, 2015 i agree, if you had both of their notebooks, eminem's would reflect a higher level of lyricism
