    That's the thing, every rapper has flaws that can push away potential listeners, but people need to start seeing difference between "I don't like it" and "This is trash" cause both of these things ain't the same

    He does have a fairly large following. Mainly fringe Em stans.

    Hes not as bad you guys make him out to be hes just one of those guys who are allergic to making good albums.

    That’s the thing lol his flow isn’t top notch, it isn’t even unique. His flow can’t be told apart from a group of a rappity rap rappers.

    his bars are weak af. If they were any good, he would’ve displayed them with Lupe. He thinks his bars go over peoples heads, like no dude, they just miss.

    Only thing I agree is that he can rhyme but that doesn’t make a good rapper. Royce has no influence In or outside of Detroit lol.

    If we are being real, Logic is leagues ahead of Royce and it hurts for me to even say that. They do the same nonsense too.

    Royce was v skilled back in the scary movie days. Now it’s an old man with no substance

    Yea, I understand the "his music is boring" argument, but I'm asking about his rap abilities etc. Technical point of view. I don't understand how people can call him a bad rapper and say for instance Lil Yachty is good one lol. Yachty music is more catchy and Has a lot of replay value, but he ain't better rapper.

    Yeah good rapper. But his music isn't something I go back to a lot tbh... still more enjoyable to me than some rappers people praise here tho

    Royce has always been crazy gifted as a rapper. He's always been one of my favourites. But he makes music for people who listen to rap music and has never broken that mould or reached a broad audience. Not necessarily a bad thing. It takes talent and persistence to be in the game as long as he has without ever being a big mainstream draw. It keeps him out of contention with the proper GOATs though. Honestly I think his ego is Royce's fatal flaw. When he sobered up, he had a real good run, he spoke with clarity and gained some perspective. The success of that run seems to have gone to his head though, he should stay off social media.

    Possibly the most overrated rapper alive. Taking nothing away from the excellent Death Is Certain and the few other good songs and verses he's had throughout his career (Boom is a d--- classic, idc), but other than that falls squarely into the same try-too-hard category Em does, especially in the latter 2/3rds of his career
