Jul 31, 2021 The 2008 Great Recession was devastating. Do you know what happen 6 months later? The first Flu Pandemic in 40 years. Obama was just inaugurated and not only did have to deal with the worst Financial Crisis since 1929... he also had to deal with the first Pandemic since the Hong Kong Flu of 1969. He went everywhere telling people to cough Into their elbow... (which no one really did before) and showing people it was cool to fist bump instead of shaking hands.... then less than 6 months after the first case of H1N1 a vaccine was available to purchase and 70 million Americans took it and the virus went away.
Jul 31, 2021 idk what any of that has to do with anything or helps you over TWICE that number have currently taken the vaccine (164 million) and it means absolutely nothing rn as far as “curving” anything & he’s the president, with a huge huge team behind him. you’re saying he couldn’t give a proper stimulus because a flu happened after the recession? people didn’t get bailed out for either of them..just the banks! i also pity anyone who needed the government to tell them they should cough in their elbows and not their hands smfh

Jul 31, 2021 i initially was implying that there have been serious crises in the past that were not health related but directly financial related and the people received zero financial help even though millions of jobs were lost as well on top of that now, we have a situation that became financial because of the pandemic and they’re rushing to feed money to people. i raise a red flag because it’s against their own protocol to help people out in that manner (stimulus checks, unemployment boosts, etc) my implication is that this is tied somehow to either weakening the dollar, flattening bitcoin to buy back in and universal basic income by 2030 “you will own nothing and be happy” is their slogan actually. what does that mean? who knows when things like covid happen, you kinda have to remove yourself from the present and theorize long term plans/agendas, things they are very vocal about and not hiding (ie agenda 2030)

Jul 31, 2021 I mean it being an election year had a lot to do with the stimulus checks. Of course Donnie wanted to send out a $1200 check with his name on it to remind people he gave them money (I'm not even trashing him for that, it's a smart move!) and Biden campaigned for bigger stimulus checks too. The entire time we had pandemic assistance the government (repubs especially) were bitching about how we should take it away because people make more thru pandemic UI than their regular jobs. Them thinking the issue was that UI paid too much rather than the min wage being too low—and the fact that my terrible local government ended pandemic assistance early—is all par for the course imo. The federal aid went away for months and came back paying less than it did multiple times in 2020. This s--- was bare minimum and the people deserved (and still deserve) better.
