Apr 14, 2015 Cherry Bomb (track) is unlistenable. It genuinely caused my ears to ache. I'll be cutting all the hardcore sounding s--- and keeping the groovy chill tracks.
Apr 14, 2015 Yall gotta understand if you like a rappers content off one album he's not gonna keep doing that, because by the next album, he'll wanna make an album for him and not the fans. Thats where he starts making music that sounds "weird" or whatever because he's going off of an inspiration
Apr 14, 2015 it's not a very good record. it's like he's trying to be the neptunes but also wants to be off-putting, and those are inherently at opposite ends of the spectrum.

Apr 14, 2015 first listen and idk, album doesn't sound like it has really bad mixing/mastering, sounds more like they just intentionally exported the album at really low quality settings. like 128kbps or lower and then re-exported that to 320 for release. either way, terrible idea. nothing f---ing irks me more with music than near unlistenable sound quality. ugh. it's a shame too cause I could see myself enjoying this album if not for that.
Apr 15, 2015 had a good conversation with tyler yesterday. he feels like this is supposed to tip the scales back in a grimier direction after wolf. i don't know if he achieved that, but it speaks to why he muddied up the whole mix.
