Apr 8, 2015 Not enough time on me to fully think it out, but just a thought; Kendrick's new reebok ad has been branded by some hip hop fans as hypocritical, coming from TPAB's message on fame, hollywood and branding. So was this ad a display of tragic irony or is this contradiction an attempt to bring more attention to the true message of the album or even maybe, giving it a visual representation of the idea he put forth?
Apr 9, 2015 This is a commercial ad and they are marketing the item as "revolutionary". Reebok got him on there for a reason and that's because they know he has a hardcore fan base so it wouldn't make sense that he acted differently otherwise they might as well have gotten a different person. Plus I don't think Reebok is known for using slave labor or anything of the like. There even used to be something called Reebok Human Rights Award so I think the man made a conscious decision before he teamed up with a corporation.
Apr 9, 2015 Rick Ross was rapping about selling dope while he was a cop in the past and you guys make big deal of Reebok commercial. So f---ing what. People are quick on turning someone into cult.
