@Mike Tyson you're a 50 fan, right? I am too, but I swear I'm the only one seeing the L's he's taking compared to Game (Music-wise)
When was the last time 50 put out a studio album?
When was the last time 50 got a Storch beat?
When was the last time 50 got a Dre beat? (apart from that new day)
Game's had Kendrick features throughout his entire career. 50 has we up.

Honestly, I don't think 50 is putting out another album. After his interview on (pretty certain) hot97 where he pretty much said "I wont ever sell as much as I used to, because of this day and age, so why would I?" something like that anyway. Don't get me wrong 50 takes wins left right and center almost everyday, but none of them are music related. Yeah he's got that new g-unit thing going for him... But those albums had nothing anywhere near the caliber of Poppin Them Thangs.

Animal Ambition.
Smoke was a dre beat.
Game gave Kendrick them features as a favour lol. He put him on in a way.
50's focusing on his business ventures right now.

Like, I thought that was just a digital release to hype up Power? - was it actually for sale anywhere(physical or digital)?
(Actually enjoyed a fair bit of it too)
Yeah Game's had Kendrick features since like 2000. He tried to put him on imo, but he just wasn't going to blow up at the time.
I forgot about Smoke... kinda weird song, but still

Yeah that's sorta the point I'm getting at. Like, I don't think we'll be hearing 'big' 50 cent songs in a while. I have the feeling SKI will never drop and 50's using it as a marketing tool.

It sold 45k first week. Was more of a mixtape tbh. Yeah we gotta accept 50's priority isnt music right now. He's a mogul now.

45k is pretty decent indie. He'll drop SKI eventually. Maybe end of this year.

both need each other, but 50 isn't musically stable right now. he's not worrying about his music career since we only hear about his business deals and such.

That year might be a bit early. There's songs like 'Cypha' but can't remember the other songs. I think they may have been unreleased/freestyles. not too sure. 'Cypha' is from around 2002-2004 though I'm pretty sure.

Don't get me wrong I'm always gonna be a fan of 50. Even if you look away from his music, he's still a good source of motivation/inspiration.
My only problem is that he's been saying that SKI is coming for the last 6 years, that's some Dr. Dre bs.

Also, I don't know, a lot of his newer songs are great (Funeral/Winner Circle/irregular heartbeat - as examples) but I feel like there's just something missing, that the old 50 had.

I always hated Ja Rule too, or not hate, but just didn't like his music at all.

I feel what you're saying though. There's probably that whole 'nostalgic' merit to his older songs so I don't think I'll ever be playing new 50 cent singular songs on repeat. Like AA was pretty good, there's just nothing there for me that makes me go "yeah ill go back and re-listen to that whole album"
