I was originally thinking of something like optimism or opportunity as the answer cause when you have your head up you keep that optimism. When your head is down, it slowly dies. But once again it doesn't really apply to the other clues.
Apr 13, 2015 I quite, put out my thoughts in case they help. Charlie could be slang for crack/cocaine. 'Take a part of me' could easily be referencing drugs. And a 'rough place' could be addiction 'Then the look down and see its slow death' this could be the contemplation of suicide, standing on top of a building or something. 'This guy next to me keep talking' pressure from like a devil on your shoulder or something. The 'place' certsinly seems to be more a state of mind than an actual place although it could easily be both, E.g. The ghetto could be the rough place. The only song I can really think of that fits these clues is maybe Dance with the devil but I'm sure that's wrong. Budden not really mainstream but Its a wild guess. Joe budden - Only Human
