Apr 12, 2015 I'd probably rank RTJ (idk if that's fair or true, even) over all 3 of them I think, then Kendrick, then Bronson, then Drake? Something like that. Open Mike Eagle and Billy Woods are my favourite right now I kinda liked T&Y on first listen but I couldn't even finish half of it during my second one. Some instrumentals are interesting and I liked a couple of tracks, but overall it's pretty meh. An improvement from his previous stuff, but who cares. YES. I made a thread about it here, if you want some info on the album, not many people have posted their impressions yet (neither have I lol, I listened to it earlier today at last but I'll shamelessly post the link here because it's a very good album)
Apr 12, 2015 No way Kanye can be considered a good rapper in 2015. A good/great musician but not rapper.
Apr 12, 2015 Also yeah it really is but OP is probably mentioning his favorite artists, not the best.
Apr 12, 2015 Is this guy a bot? He posts everytime Kanye is mentioned, and his posts are identical, wtf
Apr 12, 2015 Would replace Boosie with Kendrick and Kevin Gates with Drake Otherwise, I completely agree
Apr 12, 2015 Kendrick Lamar Billy Woods Young Thug Action Bronson Kanye West Future Open Mike Eagle Malik B Mike Zombie Freddie Gibbs
Apr 12, 2015 pretty sure four mixtapes in two years is enough to qualify someone as the best "right now" what do you want, a corporate speaking tour? nope drake's had maaaaybe half a dozen good songs in the last two years herb is definitely on the shortlist mike in the discussion, too EDIT: @Narsh can you please explain why the thought of cutting bronson would even cross your mind
Apr 12, 2015 not trying to be a d-ck but...why? boosie has been on an inhuman run since he got out. on top of the tape (which had o lord, the fall, i'm coming home, i feel ya, etc etc etc) he's had crazy, black rain, the lifestyle remix, and one of the best guest spot resumes in rap.
Apr 12, 2015 off top (no order): kendrick drake danny brown RTJ billy woods young thug future kanye vince staples lil herb/boosie idk
Apr 12, 2015 Eh. I didn't f--- with him before he went to prison and didn't wanna hop on his d-ck now that he's out. If he's really good like you're saying then I'll check him out. I DEFINITELY feel like Kenny and Drake both deserve a spot on the list though, much more so than Kevin Gates.
Apr 12, 2015 Kendrick Freddie Gibbs Azizi Gibson Mick Jenkins Vince Staples Schoolboy Q Jay Rock Danny Brown Oddisee CLPPNG Denzel Curry
Apr 12, 2015 No order off the top of my head, probably forgetting someone: Freddie Gibbs Drake Kendrick Lamar Kanye West Killer Mike Vince Staples Action Bronson Lil Herb Young Thug Earl Sweatshirt Danny Brown would be on there if he had released a more recent album. I'm not well versed enough in billy woods/future's discographies to call them. Boosie is great too but the only full project I've listened to Life After Deathrow so I don't feel comfortable ranking him.
